What’s Hot in 2013 Panini Spectra Football
Like most of the last releases of the football season, 2013 Panini Spectra Football focuses on the high-end of the hobby. The products features a Prizm-inspired design and more on-card signatures that most sets.
Rookies play a major role in Spectra's autograph composition. Although there have been a couple of stand outs this year, it doesn't come close to what 2011 and 2012 offered. As a result, collectors should be able to find some solid deals. Over the long-term, the on-card signatures should be looked upon more strongly that most sets that use stickers. With 2013 Panini Prizm and 2013 Panini Select Football both using a lot of stickers, it makes Spectra stand out that much more than similarly styled products.
And while rookies make up the majority of autographs, they're not the only ones. The 50th Anniversary Pro Football Hall of Fame Autographs have been gaining particular attention. Panini has announced the set will carry over into 2014 products. Cards come with on-card signatures and, as the name suggests, includes only Hall of Famers.
Spectra is one of the only 2013 products to have hard-signed Russell Wilson cards. The Super Bowl-winning quarterback's cards are live in packs and not redemptions. Other veterans with autographs in the product include Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Adrian Peterson and Andrew Luck. All are numbered to 49 or less so they're not the easiest cards to find.
Every pack of 2013 Panini Spectra Football has an autograph and a memorabilia card.
