2018 Rittenhouse Lost in Space Archives Series 2 still finds the crew of the Jupiter 2 trying to find their way home via the trading card set based on Irwin Allen's classic tale.
The premium factory set extends the line from Series 1. However, Series 2 increases the production to 300 sets, whereas Series 1 was capped at 200 sets. Sealed sets are priced at $199.99 per box.
Rittenhouse Lost in Space Archives Series 2 Base / Inserts
Again utilizing artwork from Juan Ortiz, the base set provides an artistic take on the sci-fi series. Although all 85 episodes are showcased on base cards, the 2018 Rittenhouse Lost in Space Archives Series 2 checklist only supplies 42 cards in a skip-numbered set. All the odd-numbered cards came in Series 1 with the even-numbered cards issued in Series 2.
Inserts are another option but there is no chasing required. Every set has either a seven-card Juan Ortiz Character Art set or a nine-card Ron Gross Painted Art set. If you order two boxes, you get both.
Rittenhouse Lost in Space Archives Series 2 Autographs
2018 Rittenhouse Lost in Space Archives Series 2 also has several signed choices. Each box has two Inscription Autograph cards from a group that includes Angela Cartwright (as Penny Robinson), June Lockhart (as Dr. Maureen Robinson) and Mark Goddard (as Major Don West). Each actor has at least six different inscriptions. If you buy two sets, you are guaranteed at least one autograph from all three signers.
A third guaranteed signature comes from the Character Art Autograph line. Every box set contains one of the following cast member autographs: Bill Mumy as Will Robinson, Mark Goddard as Major Don West, or Marta Kristen as Judy Robinson. The full three-card set is obtained by purchasing three sets.
In addition to the three autographs, a fourth hit is either a hand-drawn Sketch card or an Autograph Relic for Mark Goddard. Again, if you order two sets, you get one of each.
