Top Corey Seager Rookie Cards and Prospect Cards
A key fixture for the Texas Rangers at shortstop, there are plenty of notable Corey Seager rookie cards to collect.
The younger brother of Justin and Kyle Seager, Corey Seager began his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he earned the 2016 NL Rookie of the Year. He was also named the NLCS MVP during the 2020 MLB Postseason and the World Series MVP. Seager added another title and World Series MVP award with the Rangers in 2023.
While Seager was drafted by the Dodgers in 2012, his cardboard legacy started in 2010 thanks to his participation with USA Baseball. Other popular prospect cards for Seager came in 2012 and 2013 products. Because of this late call-up in 2015, his rookies appear in 2016 products.
The following guide features a detailed look at some of the best Corey Seager rookie cards across all budgets. Top prospect cards are documented below the rookies.

2016 Bowman Corey Seager RC #150

Chromium collectors are out of luck as far as base parallels, but there is a Chrome Rookie Autograph insert with an on-card signature and several parallels.
2016 Bowman Chrome Corey Seager RC #40
In a curious move, Topps included a standard Seager rookie in 2016 Bowman Chrome as well as a chromium version of his base Bowman card.
The Bowman Chrome rookie shown above is only found in hobby boxes while the Chrome edition of his Bowman card is a vending box exclusive. Only the base Bowman Chrome cards have Refractor parallels.
Look for another Chrome Rookie Autograph option, as well.
2016 Bowman Platinum Corey Seager RC #40
Part of the Walmart-exclusive 2016 Bowman Platinum, this simple rookie has a quality look for a budget price. A handful of parallels build on that including the striking Ice version.
2016 Topps Corey Seager RC #85
The flagship rookie for Corey Seager is also his very first and one of the most common of his base rookies. Found in Series 1, several limited parallels add a chase factor, including the unannounced Negative parallel that features a very distinct look.
He's also got a throwing photo variation in the Retail Factory Sets.
2016 Topps Allen & Ginter Corey Seager RC #121
One of several throwback sets, the basic 2016 A&G rookie for Corey Seager is joined by a mini parallel and mini variation. Seager also has a signed card in the primary Framed Autograph set.
2016 Topps Archives Corey Seager RC #275
Looking back to the junk wax era, 2016 Archives puts Corey Seager on the 1991 design. Although he was actually born in 1994, collectors can find the nostalgic base rookie and a very limited Operation Desert Shield parallel in the product.
2016 Topps Bunt Corey Seager RC #15
Connecting physical collectors with the digital side of things, 2016 Topps Bunt doesn't offer much in the way of value but the low-end release is built around fun. In addition to the base rookie, Seager has a Future of the Franchise insert.
2016 Topps Chrome Corey Seager RC #150
While it is just a chromium version of the flagship rookie, 2016 Topps Chrome has earned a special place with collectors. For Seager, the many Refractors and on-card autograph versions provide even more to chase.
2016 Topps Chrome Sapphire Edition Corey Seager RC #85
If you want something a little more sparkly and a lot less common, there's also his card in 2016 Topps Chrome Sapphire. Originally selling for $1,500 per box, the Complete Set format has just 250 boxes in total, although the base cards aren't numbered to reflect this.
This one can be tough to locate and quite pricey.
2016 Topps Finest Corey Seager RC #58
Led by chromium technology and many Refractor parallels, 2016 Finest carves out a spot with a design that is a little louder than most. Seager also has an on-card autograph in the Finest Firsts line.
2016 Topps Five Star Corey Seager #FSA-CSE Autograph #/50 (Redemption)
One of the key high-end releases each year, 2016 Five Star is all about thick card stock and on-card autographs. Originally issued as a redemption, this limited Corey Seager card sits near the top of the list.
2016 Topps Gold Label Corey Seager RC #75 (3 versions)
Part of the reboot set, 2016 Topps Gold Label features a trio of choices. While the corner image is the same, the background photos of Seager change. Class 1 is the most common and Class 3 is the rarest. All three versions each have three limited parallels.
The hard-signed Gold Label Framed Autograph is another choice.
2016 Topps Gypsy Queen Corey Seager RC #7
Another budget rookie that falls in a retro-themed brand, 2016 Gypsy Queen offers a base option with a thick frame.
More limited, Seager has both a full-size and mini GQ variation card in the set.
The on-card rookie autograph also goes with a different image.
2016 Topps Heritage Corey Seager, Jose Peraza RC #168
2016 Heritage revisits the 1967 Topps design which means dual-player rookie cards.
Although the pairing with Jose Peraza is not ideal, there is also a limited Heritage action variation that gives collectors a single-player card to target for Seager.
Thankfully, his Real One Autographs card is a solo affair, as well.
2016 Topps Museum Collection Corey Seager RC #55
A quality design and a thick card stock meet for the 2016 Museum Collection Corey Seager rookie card. While Museum box prices are on the higher side, these base Seager rookie cards can be found for reasonable amounts.
On the other hand, the Museum Collection auto relics for Seager can run a bit more.
2016 Topps Opening Day Corey Seager RC #OD-48
Copying the flagship design and even featuring the same image for Seager, the only real difference in this 2016 Opening Day rookie for Corey Seager is the OD brand logo above his name.
2016 Topps Stadium Club Corey Seager RC #142
Widely known for high-end photography, 2016 Stadium Club does not disappoint.
While the base rookie (above) and SP variation (below) are largely tame by Stadium Club standards, the quality look and rich image make it clear why this will remain one of the top low-end rookie choices for collectors.
His on-card autograph is another signed card that doesn't seem to pop up too often.
2016 Topps The Mint Arrivals Autograph Corey Seager #/50 (Redemption)
The ultimate in premium cards from Topps, 2016 The Mint doesn't have a true base set. However, the only Corey Seager card is part of the Archival Autographs insert. Originally found as a redemption, the card is quite popular with collectors and there is also a variation.
2016 Topps Tribute Corey Seager RC #16R-2
Technically an insert that falls two per case, this Corey Seager card in 2016 Tribute displays the base design and features most of the base parallels.
The Tribute Autographs card offers a lot of signing space so his signature is larger than normal.
2016 Topps Triple Threads Corey Seager Autographed Jersey #/99
With a trio of relic pieces and a sticker autograph, the 2016 Topps Triple Threads rookie is not the most visually appealing. Still, with the TTT brand name and limited print run, the card maintains solid value.
2016 Panini Diamond Kings Corey Seager RC #142
While the lack of logos is a little more apparent, 2016 Diamond Kings stands out with an artistic design.
The base Corey Seager rookie uses a fielding image and is joined by a variation that shows him batting. Framed parallels give the cards more of a museum-like quality.
He also has a few signed DK cards that use sticker autographs.
2016 Panini Donruss Rated Rookie Corey Seager RC #32
Hiding the airbrushed logos a little better, 2016 Donruss incorporates the popular Rated Rookie logo in a very simple card.
2016 Panini Donruss Optic Rated Rookie Corey Seager RC #32
Like Chrome is to Topps, Optic is to Donruss. The 2016 Donruss Optic rookie also comes in a variety of parallels, including autographs.
2016 Panini Flawless Corey Seager RC #87 Diamond #/20
Another Corey Seager without logos, 2016 Flawless goes high-end with a print run of just 20 and an actual diamond embedded in the card as well as a few limited jewel parallels. There are also multiple on-card signatures for Seager in the pricey release.
2016 Panini Immaculate Collection Corey Seager RC #105 Auto Jersey #/99 (Redemption)
A premium Panini release for Seager, 2016 Immaculate features on-card rookie autographs. This is one of his rarest base editions, giving more appeal to the quality card.
2016 Panini National Treasures Corey Seager RC #152 Auto Jersey #/99 (Redemption)
2016 National Treasures Baseball is even more high-end than Immaculate although the end result checks a lot of the same boxes.
