2024 Topps Series 1 Baseball Base / Parallels

Although the base lineup has offered 330 cards for a few seasons, the 2024 Topps Series 1 Baseball checklist sees the return of the 350-card base set.

The parallels include a familiar assortment along with all-new Yellow, Yellow Foil and Yellow Crackle (#/50) editions exclusive to Hanger boxes.

2024 Topps Series 1 Baseball Inserts

The 2024 Topps Series 1 Baseball checklist also makes room for many new inserts. 1989 Topps Baseball is home to the latest 35th-anniversary design celebration. The Mega Box format has exclusive 1989 Topps Baseball Foilboard versions with additional foil parallels.

Standouts from the past year are honored in 2023 All Topps Team, for top players, and 2023 Greatest Hits, for top moments.

Other debuts arrive with the Grand Gamers and Superstar Blueprint. The new Topps Mega Stars (Mega Box only) cards add foil parallels.

Limited to 500 copies per card, Heavy Lumber is back to showcase top hitters on a wood-grained design.

Falling once per pack, the 30-card Stars of the MLB set returns as a Retail-exclusive continuation insert also slated for Series 2 and Update Series. Another exclusive, Chrome Stars of the MLB averages 1:10 Retail packs.

2024 Topps Series 1 Baseball Relics / Auto Relics

As for the hits, 2024 Topps Series 1 Baseball sticks with the normal mix, including autographs, relics and autograph relics.

As usual, the throwback 1989 Topps Baseball Autographs line is noted as having on-card autographs.

Chase other signed cards with Baseball Stars Autographs, Baseball Stars Dual Autographs (#/10 or less), Postseason Performance Autographs (#/50 or less), World Series Champions Autographs (#/50 or less), and Cut Signatures (1/1).

The 2024 Topps Series 1 Baseball memorabilia sets include 1989 Baseball Relics, Major League Materials, Postseason Performance Relics (#/99), and World Series Champion Relics (#/99), as well as Major League Material Autographs (#/50 or less), Postseason Performance Autograph Relics (#/50 or less) and World Series Champion Autograph Relics (#/50 or less).

I agree with you, it’s been that way since 2021, poor looking cards, which the players names were difficult to read the past few years. I’ll give this set credit for being nicer and readable, but even if/when you get an auto, if it’s not a Superstar or extremely high ranked prospect, it’s generally only worth the amount of the blaster if your lucky. I bought hobby and jumbo hobby boxes a few years ago. and the autos I got were AWFUL! 1 hobby box had 2 Alex Vecia RCs auto, 1 which was a Refractor #/499 the other just plain. For $80-120,and those were my hits, was like throwing $80 out my window on the highway!

Amazing product first time trying it and pulled a Adley Rutschman autograph 4/25 red parallel.

Why is that topps 24 Series 1 checklist not listed here? This site is great for looking up sets or cards!!!

Really wish you had the checklist posted. Hate having to go to Beckett to get the format I need.

I really was helped by the photo gallery that you used to display for Variations, SP’s. and SSPs, they were much more helpful!

Big yikes of a product. Whole bunch of nothing but paper. Would not recommend this set to anyone, not even a youngster getting into collecting. Paying $25 for a blaster is just depressing with zero hits. The hobby’s are a joke (autos are IMPOSSIBLE to hit), and the jumbo hits were absolute snooze fests. BUYER BEWARE, STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY

Bought a box of 2024 Topps series one and pulled a Shohei Ohtani Heavy Lumber Autographed Relic redemption card-was really shocked. Plugged the numbers in on the Topps website on 3/11/2024 and the card-shipped to the Midwest-was in hand on 3/16/24 via fed ex!! This wildly exceeded my expectations, most likely because of my LAST 4 or 5 Panini redemption cards. With Panini, one card was expired by about 8 months so I do not expect anything, a 2nd card they gave me points for, 3rd card was an Auto Tony Pollard sent in April 2023 (no word yet) and an Auto Tank Dell rookie sent in Dec 2023 also no word yet. The worst part is trying to contact them and if one does get ahold of them it is a different rep every time so its like constantly starting over..Sorry for the rant but Topps went well above and beyond..

totally agree Panini and SAGE are jokes when trying to get answers and products returned

Only reason 2 stars is I like the card look over anything in last 30 years. But quality players and unique cards in this series leaves a lot to be desired.

I have never purchased a jumbo hobby box and NOT able to put together a full set. Well so glad that Fanatics has bought out Topps…not! This is now the 3rd product I have bought recently were the number of missing cards almost necessitates having to buy an additional box. What a rip off! On another note the design is nice but nothing special. Guess I’ll stay with Panini who at least puts together a better design and better autos.

Bartman

Finally a design that catches the eye. Seems like year after year the base set design is more along the lines of blah with little creativity. This year is the exception. Inserts are sharp looking for the most part.

Ryan Cooper

Worst hobby jumbo box I have ever opened. Very few big stars. Most of the inserts were unknown rookies, including the autograph and both relics. Several of the inserts were duplicates! My best card for a $180 purchase was a Judge Chrome Silver Pack card.

I have been buying hobby boxes and jumbo boxes for years. Each year I have seen fewer and fewer hits. But the hunt for the pull of the hit is over. When you spend $180 for a box that contains cards worth less than $60, it is time to say something.

If you are thinking about buying a hobby box or jumbo, it is better to wait for the complete set at the end of the year and go to Walmart and buy a few packs. You might have better luck than investing $180 for a whole bunch of nothing!

Are checklists no longer being made available for new product?

This is by far one of the worst products ever released by Topps. Total money grab, zero fun hits, full of fire starter. Totally embarrassing product. Would not recommend blasters, hobby OR jumbo. All “hits” have been snoozers. Yikes of a product, wish I could rate the product as negative. DO NOT BUY

TWO Stars, and the reason for a long, long time when Topps would release series one, two and update I would buy a jumbo box because with the exception of one box a couple years ago I would always get a complete set from a jumbo box. The one exception was missing one card from the set. On 2/18/24 I stopped by our local and bought a jumbo box. After sorting the cards I was 31 cards short of the set. That sucks! I wondered if Fanatics would change things up and make it more difficult to finish the set to sell more product and while this is only a one jumbo box break, it sure looks that way to me. TWO Stars, way below what the average has been for years.

Do NOT buy the retail blasters. Nothing but fire starter. Completely disappointed in this product.

Nice design, but once again Fanatics cuts the number of packs and cards per pack, while avoiding any quality control. A jersey card where the jersey doesn’t even fill the tiny box?
Topps made a HUGE mistake selling to Fanatics. They have made poor quality cheap items for years. Look at how NHL and MLB players reacted to the terrible quality jerseys made for the actual Players.

Love the look! Pretty good rookie class. Fewer cards for a higher price. They made tons of this stuff as witnessed by the odds that were posted on the Topps website. 1 Gold per two hobby boxes. 5 stars for the look and zero stars for the greed.

I hope the card likeness will be added to the gallery soon. A different look than ever for Topps. Without seeing the back of the cards the front looks great with a modern neon light look. The only thing better than the topps card reveal is a new baseball season!

Will you be putting up the checklist for this set? I am interested in seeing what RCs will be included and odds for inserts, ets. thanks

Curious if anyone knows if Ohtani will have any Dodger uniform cards? On some of the ebay listings atm they’re showing a auto card of him in the Angeles uniform.

I like the information on this card set but I was wondering when you will have a checklist so an individual would know who is in the set . Any information would be great . Great job so far .

Yeah, but in “the old days”, bubble gum baseball card packs were 10 cents each and had no collectible value beyond your little group of friends. In today’s vast collectibles market, knowledge and planning are essential parts of one’s involvement. Before ordering any of this stuff, we DO need to know what it looks like.

I wonder if Fanatics will let us see the design before the cards are released! How lame.

Android Andy

Nothing “lame” about keeping a lid on the design. I think it’s kind of cool … like the old days when you first saw the design when you opened the pack. There is no need in being spoonfed everything.
