Returning for a third straight year, 2023 Topps Chrome Star Wars Galaxy sticks with the familiar style of Star Wars artwork enhanced with Chrome technology.
While prior Hobby editions contained one autograph, the only box hits are three Refractor parallels.
The product was first revealed via the Topps.com presale on August 8 at 12 PM (Eastern). The Hobby box price is $199.99.
2023 Topps Chrome Star Wars Galaxy Base / Parallels
As usual, 2023 Topps Chrome Star Wars Galaxy features chromium Star Wars art across the 100-card base set.
Fans may recognize past Star Wars Galaxy cards that are now given the Chrome treatment. The base set also includes a selection of new artwork.
Look for one Refractor per pack unless replaced by a Refractor parallel.
The limited Refractor parallels, including the all-new Aqua Refractor (#/199) edition, combine to appear three times per Hobby box.

2023 Topps Chrome Star Wars Galaxy Inserts
In addition, 2023 Topps Chrome Star Wars Galaxy adds four debut insert lines.
Darth Vader's Bounty Hunters (1:9 packs) highlights the mercenaries in a comic book style.
Per Topps, Galactic Visions (1:9 packs) displays "Commissioned original art by some reputable Star Wars artists."
Honoring the four-decade mark, Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary Poster Art Tribute (1:9 packs) celebrates the milestone with chromium versions of the movie posters. These also add the official ROTJ 40th logo.
Covering female characters from the franchise, Women of Star Wars (1:9 packs) is another new option.
Each insert comes in a similar rainbow to the base cards.
2023 Topps Chrome Star Wars Galaxy Autograph / Sketch
There are rare multi-signed autographs to chase, as well, including Dual Autograph (#/25; 1:10,922 packs) and Triple Autograph (#/5; 1:107,049 packs) cards.
Meanwhile, the hand-drawn Sketch cards act as a case hit, averaging 1:135 packs.

Just another race to the bottom with Topps. Subpar product with tons of manufacturing defects (Crimped cards, rolling marks, etc), as well as zero effort from Topps to retain the spirit of the non-Chrome Star Wars Galaxy sets. They’ve yet to commission any art to take advantage of the chrome effect, instead they just raid the archive for previously released art.
The price also makes zero sense as well, because with Galaxy Chrome 2022, they had initially announced it at around $85MSRP, but then shot it through the roof by charging almost $300. Now seeing that people are willing to throw money away, they’ve removed the guaranteed autograph from the box, and have now turned the parallels…into hits. Oh joy. Definitely not worth $200 a box.
