2021-22 Topps X Nashville Stars Set Details
Issued in eight-card packs for $19.99, the 2021 Topps X Nashville Stars checklist features former Negro League greats Jackie Robinson, Josh Gibson, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Satchel Paige, Ernie Banks, and Larry Doby.
Backs provide a short bio for the players.
Collectors can find cards for musicians, as well, including Kane Brown, Luke Combs and Willie Jones.
In addition, the 17-card set adds themed subsets for Nashville Baseball History and Life and Culture of the Negro Leagues.
Limited parallels reference the 101st anniversary of the league and the 35 Negro League players in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Although odds weren't provided, the musical talent has signed cards to chase.
2021 Topps X Nashville Stars Baseball packs are available for 36 days, starting on July 21 and ending on August 26.
The musicians' base cards (Kane Brown, Luke Combs and Willie Jones) are sold individually for $7.99. Another standalone option is Mitchell Tenpenny. While this card extends the base numbering (#18), the price point goes up to $9.99. The band MercyMe (#19) was added later along with Darius Rucker and radio host Cam "Buzz" Brainard.
Topps also released an earlier Nashville Stars card for ComplexLand called "Hip Hop in the Jazz Era." This individual release sold 2,512 copies.
