2021 Topps Finest Basketball helps usher in a new age of chromium basketball cards. Each box contains one autograph.
Finest Basketball last appeared as a standalone release for the 2007-08 NBA season.
As Panini still holds the NBA card exclusive, these cards do not carry NBA logos or licensing.
Boxes are first made available to Topps 582 Montgomery Club Members in an exclusive pre-sale on April 26. The official box price is $129.99 and the pre-sale max is two boxes per account.
The public sale occurs the day after the pre-sale with a limit of three boxes.
2021 Topps Finest Basketball Set Details
Displaying a large basketball image in the background, 2021 Topps Finest Basketball supplies an online-exclusive product with a retro flair. While the casual outfits immediately stick out, many players rock a suit-and-tie combo on their cards, but some take that up a notch. Looking at you, Isiah Thomas!
This chromium lineup showcases mostly retired NBA players with a heavy dose of the 1980s and 1990s. High school player Mikey Williams appears to be the only prospect.
The small checklist includes 60 base cards and 55 autographs, which fall one per box. Several parallels are in play, as well.
