why are there no listing of the rookies redemptions cheklist ?

Readily available now at Target, so I buy packs now and then. Bought an interesting pack today. 28 Cards and 3 were duplicates! Actually 4 if you include Cam Atkinson, but a least the second Cam was I believe a Silver Script parallel but I can’t tell if these are real autographs or just printed on the card. For the second pack in a row got a Cole Caufield rookie. Only one Ice Battle (212-O’Reilly) but no other SP print cards.

Cheap looking and teal does nothing for me. Too much wasted space on front.

OK… I’ve gotta ask here… how do they NOT include the Seattle Kraken at all??? And why are some of the team names not included? Why do the cards say “San Jose” instead of “Sharks”? or “Nashville” instead of “Predators”? And why are there some cards that say “Colorado” and some that say “Colorado Avalanche”… and I’ve even got one that says “Colorado Colorado” for the team name? QA was not high on this set.

I give it two stars because it’s not going to empty your bank account. But I opened two boxes today and got the exact same SP cards – the same four veterans and the same six rookies. It’s not so bad because Caulfield was one of the rookies and McDavid one of the veterans, but what kind of collation is this? I have over sixty doubles, and I’m missing almost ninety cards for the set (before SPs). I really don’t feel like buying two more boxes to finish my set.

Doomer, that is a tough case to break. I would check with Upper Deck, because it does not make sense.
I completed a Ice Battles set plus duplicates. I had two redemptions, an autograph and a printing plate. Many more low printed cards.
I was not able to finish the anniversary set.

Oh yeah…forgot to rate this product in my first review. Sadly no negative rating available to pick from.

Every year it’s something. This is officially the last year I break a case of MVP.
Last year my case was missing the case hit Auto. This year no redemption card which are supposed to be every 400 packs.
And to top it off, those incompetent packaging operators in Italy where this stuff was made screwed up the collation.
I received 1 Ice Battles card per pack as advertised, but here is the kicker. In the whole case not a single Ice Battles card between #101-200…not one ! How is this even possible.
3-4 copies of every card 1-100 and plenty of high series as advertised but forget making a set. Just curious, anyone else see something like this ?

Just wondering if anyone knows what the #1 Draft Pick card will be since Owen Power is not playing this season.
Has Upper Deck stated anything?

First time purchasing a case of MVP and I have to admit it is nice stuff. I am not sure how it will do on the resale market but I am a few boxes in and have had some nice inserts and shortprint cards per box.
The 4 most unique so far is a Oliver Bjorkstrand One of One Printing Plate, a /20 Green Parallel Colors & Contours Keith Yandle card, #1 Draft Pick Redemption and a Rookie Redemptions card. Still have 13 boxes to go. I like the new mascot cards compared to puzzle pieces from previous years.
I needed to have some fun after this week of World Junior cancellation, postponed NHL games, and attendance numbers for sporting events being below 1000 once again in the province of Ontario. Not to mention delays in sports cards.
My local shop was suppose to get 11 cases of MVP and only received 5 cases.
Also a good rookie group to collect in this set.

Purchased some boxes for my husband and he seems to be happy with them. Cheapest boxes on the market and every box seems to have something interesting.

Anyone notice any Easter Eggs?

Pushed back, and still doesn’t have the best new players on the roster? Also, is card#52 really Jeff Carter of the Flyers? I hope not. And what happen to the puzzle cards?
I’ll update after release, can hardly wait to review the OPC checklist.

The checklist is a massive disappointment. With the later release they could of had players in the their new team uniforms, instead of recycling last year photos. Also, many players that were key to the teams they played on, and are still on the same team, are absent. There are a few rookies that are no longer with the team as depicted, with some playing in Europe now. Clearly UD need to pay attention to player movement more closely. On a positive note, the design looks very nice and the parallels and inserts look equally eye catching.

No Raymond or Seider after making collectors wait an extra four months?! Just skip this junk and release Series 1. Upper Deck is a dumpster fire.

I have to say, well done Upper Deck! MVP is an entry level product and the amount of different inserts is good to see. The gaming cards are a fantastic idea, they are some what reminiscent of 2009 collectors choice’s “ice warriors;” not design wise, but idea wise. I’m interested to see what the “rare hit card” is when release day arrives. Once again, good work UD!
