The ultra-premium Transcendent Collection portfolio continues to expand with 2020 Topps Transcendent The Captain's Collection Baseball. While the expensive brand normally highlights multiple top-tier players, this one is just for Derek Jeter (aka "The Captain").

In total, there are only 40 boxes available. Each box contains 14 Derek Jeter autographs and an exclusive VIP party invite.

The themed release is the second Transcendent Collection product of the MLB season, following 2020 Topps Transcendent Collection Hall of Fame Edition Baseball.

Chronicling his 20-year run with the New York Yankees, 2020 Topps Transcendent The Captain's Collection Baseball features 40 cards in "The Captain's Career" base set. Every card is numbered to 40 copies and the entire set comes in each box.

From this point on, the 2020 Topps Transcendent The Captain's Collection Baseball checklist is all encased, on-card autographs. Mirroring the base set, The Captain's Career Autographs features 40 cards with different Jeter moments. The primary version is numbered to three copies and joined by Pinstripe (#/2) and Gold (1/1) parallels. There are six cards from this set in each box.

The 3,000 Hits Autographs line naturally focuses on Jeter's pursuit of the hitting milestone. Falling one per box, these come with a wood frame and a print run of just one copy per card.

Collectors can also find a variety of game-used DJ memorabilia, including Final Season Autographed Relic cards with single, dual, triple and quad relic options. Like the main signed set, each card has a base version numbered to three along with Pinstripe (#/2) and Gold (1/1) parallels. Collectors can look forward to five of the auto-relic cards in every box.

Another one-of-one hit is found via the Autographed Patch insert with player-worn jumbo swatches. Each box has one of these, as well.

In addition, every box contains one buyback 1993 Topps Derek Jeter rookie card that has been hard-signed, foil-stamped, encased and numbered to 40.

While the large cost associated with the box gets you a bounty of Derek Jeter autographs, it also allows access to an exclusive VIP party with Derek Jeter himself in attendance. This VIP invite is the final "hit" in every box.
