2020 Topps Sterling Baseball Cards

Really Topps? $1k+ for a box of this garbage? You’re lucky to get 15% of your money back unless you hit an absolute monster. Probably costs Topps $50 to make a box. Cannot participate in this ridiculous title wave until prices crash. Until then RIP hobby.

Despite a pretty solid checklist, charging ~$1k for only one guaranteed auto And using nearly the exact same designs as tier one is not an appealing proposition to the buyer. Combining that with adding a frame to the relic really kills the design, making the area for signatures and photos really quite small. Really bad release from topps

Then again, if you have the money to buy this stuff, you have money to burn. And Topps knows it.

Still a one to no stars but to give you an update the biggest hitter at one of the locals where I shop stopped by yesterday. I was not there but the owner said he bust 10, yes TEN boxes! He hit a Trout patch, a Trout/Ohteni dual auto and then the big hit a 1/1 Ken Griffey Jr auto bat nameplate. The other cards were not much but he did get three sweet card for his $10,000.

of course the price point is Ridiculous!!! But its us that do it to ourselves! Example:(19’20 Panini Basketball) if it weren’t for ppl buying boxes at $549 then reselling them at twice the price! $1100.00! Then it would be a phenomenal product! I’ve seen alot of this opened akso! And it looked like everything I expected it to be! But I will agree with the fact its an ultra premium product the 1-2 Color Swatches/Patches with the Sterling Splendor set/5 is disappointing! But if they didn’t do that then they wouldn’t be attainable! All singles would be going for outrages prices! And the less fortunate like my self would never have a chance to own a piece of art like these cards! Like the last guy said, alot of effort put into the creation we all love and enjoy! So Thank you Topps! Compared to other offerings there’s “NO” comparison! And funny thing is, I watched my local hobby place open a box!” (They only got 1, so instead of us fighting over it! And Raising it to Ridiculous prices. He bit it and kept it! And opened it for us to see 1st hand and possibly purchase some of them if we wished! It was awsome!!! Nothing EPIC!! But at a normal orientation point (price he got it for) it was very much worth the purchase! I watched many more breaks also! So glad topps brought it back! I do wish I could have tried some personally!😔 but im a father of 5 who is unemployed (Job shut down) Trying to make it day to day for my Fam and the world! And like i said, ppl not Topps is the reason the prices get out of control! And why my daughter and i! (Loyal Fans) can’t afford to even try any!😔 but like i said! Watched it opened 1st hand! Love 2020 pricing. Lol. R these cards made one at a time taking hours to complete on the other side of the world. Topps let’s sell products on your website, take people’s money and ship months later. Love u

Following up my earlier comments. I too watched multiple box / case breaks. This product for the price doesn’t even earn one star! This should be ZERO stars. Single color swatch after single color swatch! Huge lost for most unless you hit a bat knob or bat nameplate. Cut auto of Catfish Hunter? I pulled two from a different product and couldn’t sell them for $100.! AVOID! Buy singles not boxes if you want one of these cards!

Watched a number of box breaks of this and all I can say is that you should save your money for something better and cheaper. Half the boxes opened were $600.00 to $700.00 losses. This product is similar to Topps Dynasty but twice as expensive. Stay away.

Buyer Beware! Let’s go back 10 years and if memory serves me correct packs cost $350 to $400 so going up to almost $1,000 a pack is way out of line. Zion ain’t playing baseball! Back ten years ago I bought three packs, Pack one Rod Carew, pack two Johnny Bench. Both great players but not what I was hoping for! Pack three had Mickey Mantle which was great but this product for the price, you might as well take out a match and light up your money. Good luck if try! Totally a pass for me!

Is it just me or do the cards from the sell sheet look exactly like tier one? For this price point I would hope every master box would contain at least one bat knob or barrel. Otherwise you’d be throwing your money away buying a box of this stuff.
