Marking the fifth year of the rebooted promo set, 2020 Topps National Baseball Card Day is a collecting celebration at your local participating shop.
As supplies last, every collector who visits on Saturday, August 8, 2020, earns one free pack with no purchase necessary. Each pack should contain five base cards and one NBCD promo card.
The official social media hashtag for the event is #TOPPSNBCD.
2020 Topps National Baseball Card Day Hobby Set Details
At this point, most collectors know the procedure. Visiting your local Hobby store on August 8 gets you a free pack of exclusive 2020 Topps National Baseball Card Day cards. As with earlier sets, limited NBCD autograph inserts are the main chase.
If you spend $10+ on Topps products in the same visit, you earn an exclusive Pete Alonso card that is not found in the main set. If you want to complete the entire Hobby set, come back the next weekend (August 15), spend another $10 or more on Topps products, and this time you get an exclusive Yordan Alvarez rookie card.

2020 Topps National Baseball Card Day Retail Set Details
Just like 2019, 2020 Topps National Baseball Card Day collectors are not limited to their LCS. Major retail stores are in on the NBCD action, as well. At Target, the 2020 Topps Chrome Baseball Hanger Box has a free pack and an offer for Topps Fire. Likewise, Walmart features the 2020 Topps Chrome Hanger Box with a free pack, but the offer is for Topps Gallery. A similar option exists for Update Series. These boxes all feature exclusive packs of NBCD stamped cards.
Prior years also had an NBCD component with ballpark giveaways. However, this remains unlikely given the state of the MLB season.

There has to be some better players you could put in this set. No Tatis? Posey hasnt been good for 6 years. I like the design but add some cards. You know we will collect them.
