2020 Topps Finest Baseball Cards Checklist

Any information on Ohtani auto print runs? 2 years later and only 6 graded on PSA and none available on eBay as of right now. Any information greatly appreciated!

Has the Mystery Redemption been announced by Topps?

Hey Trey , I am having difficulty determining the difference between 3 of the autographed wave parellel cards in this set . According to the information I’ve read here on the Cardboard Connection , all the wave cards are autographed . What is the difference between the green refractor and the green wave refractor and the same with the Orange and red that are listed in the insert autographed parellel cards ? Please help on this one because I am getting a bad headache trying to figure this one out . Thanks very much , Jim

Another over priced product in 2020. As I write this the current price for a box is $230. I bought a box a little earlier when it was around $170 and if I’m really lucky I might get back $50. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TAKE YOUR KID TO A BALL GAME…..OH WAIT!

On 7/20 Opened a $150 hobby box for my sons 10th birthday and he pulled a Ken Griffey Jr. auto from the 2nd pack. It is just the base refractor auto but it is going for $400 out of a pack and I just took it to Beckett on 2 days ago for grading. Should be worth close to $600 after grading. Also pulled Vladamir Guerrero Sr. Auto Finest Moments base refractor. My son said he will be selling the Griffey to buy more Hobby Boxes.

Excellent product again this year.

Pulled a red auto Ichiro card, from 6 of 8 boxes I’m buying.

This will be 2 cases so far this year, maybe a third one as well.

Local store got more boxes so I lucked out!! Pulled 1/1 Finest Firsts auto Brendon McKay, Bo Bichette Finest Firsts Green wave auto /99 and a Chipper Jones auto out of 2 boxes!! Out of a total of 4 boxes still shy of a set so looks like ebay to complete the set.

I picked up another hobby box from my LCS since my case from that LCS was pretty good (review above). Pete Alonso auto in the first mini box. 2nd mini box had a Michael Chavis Red Wave auto /5. I would’ve bought more but that was the last box. Finest has been very good to me this year so giving 5 stars.

Always liked Finest. Good inserts and good checklist of players. Pulled J. Soto auto /25, Bichette Moments auto, T. Anderson The man auto and C. Biggio auto. Top quality photos. Was going to buy more but my local store ran out.

I like this set because it has some eye grabbing colors and artwork even though the background has absolutely nothing to do with baseball as usual with the Topps Finest sets . More graphics and artsy . One thing that I don’t like at all about this set is the auto cards are of the insert type with no statistics on back .Just the Congratulations BS . It doesn’t say anywhere in the product information whether the autographs are on card or sticker ? They sure look like on card to me . I thought I would check with the Cardmaster General ( Trey ) concerning this matter . I don’t think I missed it when reading through it ? Thanks again Trey for verification . Jim

Just broke a Master Hobby Box that I ordered directly from Topps. One of the packs only had 4 cards in it instead of 5. Sure enough that mini-box was missing its auto. WTF Topps!!!

Has it been confirmed that Luis Robert, in fact, does not have autos in this product?

I ripped a case on 6/19 and was happy with the results. Best pulls were Aquino RC auto, Nico Hoerner RC auto, Gleyber Torres The Man auto /45, Bo Bichette RC The Man auto redemption, Cal Ripken Finest Moments auto, Brendan McKay RC Auto, Luis Robert Green refractor /99, Ichiro Finest Careers Red refractor /5. Giving 5 stars based on my experience.

I didn’t see the /99 or less until you pointed it out, thank you. Has Topps announced the specific print runs or are they TBD?

Trey, I see the insert autos are supposed to be base (not numbered), orange /25, red /5 & superfractor. I pulled a redemption for an auto from “The Man” set and it says “Variation Aurograph of …”. The redemptions used to state the refractor color for the different versions. Any word from Topps on what this new nomenclature means?

WOW, the overproduction to benefit case breakers has reached critical mass. A case may have 12 parallels and 16 autos. Hardly worth $1100-1300 or even the opening price of about $900 for early buyers. What a weak checklist!!!

Just a heads up for checklist purposes. That Finest Moments Autos also have variation versions.

Kinda in the clouds on this one. I love Finest, always have, but how can a set like this that is of huge production run with maybe 100-125 (with SPs) base quantity and limited inserts go from $900 pre-sell to almost $1400 as of typing this? There may be 20-30 RCs if in line with prior years. Is there something else in a case we don’t know about yet? There’s no logic to the pricing here, which seems worse than when Ohtani and Judge were killing consumers. Good luck if you go after this.
