2020 Parkside NWSL Challenge Cup Commemorative Set highlights the stars of the National Women's Soccer League. More specifically, it covers the return to play following the COVID-19 pandemic. The championship match for the Challenge Cup tournament saw the Houston Dash defeat the Chicago Red Stars.
These direct-to-consumer sets are sold through the Parkside Collectibles website for $15.99. A full NWSL release is planned for 2021.
The growing card brand has also issued cards for the MLL (Major League Lacrosse) and the BIG3 basketball league.
2020 Parkside NWSL Challenge Cup Commemorative Set Details
Centering on the eight-team tournament held in June and July, 2020 Parkside NWSL Challenge Cup features 15 base cards. Total production is 3,000 sets and the full set comes in every box.
The release offers a chase insert, as well. In 3:4 boxes, collectors will find a Promising Prospects card that is limited to 220 copies.
And that leaves one Signature Series card in every four sets. The on-card autographs are capped at 100 copies per player.
Notable names include Christine Sinclair (Canadian national team) and Lindsey Horan (USWNT).
Per Parkside, this card series marks the debut for Player's Choice Signature Cards. Parkside provides 10 extra cards for every signer to be autographed with a different pen color. These are personal cards for that player. In this instance, the main Signature Series cards are signed in purple while the Player's Choice cards are signed in red.
