2020 Panini Prizm Football Cards

I really like the cards in this set overall . Way too many insert cards but the design and artwork on the base cards and all the parellel versions look really good in my eyes . I have a question for you Trey that I hope you can help me with . Why does Tony Pollard have an RC card in both the 2019 and 2020 Panini Prizm card sets ? I’m having a little trouble understanding this . I would appreciate your input on this question at your earliest convenience . Thanks very much .

Hey Trey , I have a quick question for you . Are the parellel rookie auto’s on card or sticker ? Does Panini Prizm have any on card auto’s at all ?

Not much for collecting football cards as they just don’t appreciate like baseball cards but these cards do look great overall . Great design , great artwork and great photography of the player on the card . As usual , the flippers are killing the hobby for the average collector . Where do these scum – sucking buzzards come from anyway ? When flippers die , do they go to flipper island ? They better hope not because I will be waiting for them with a neutron bomb to drop on them and extinguish them for eternity . Excellent overall set though . Jim

Yesterday I saw on NFL Network around the Justin Herbert interview sponsored by PANINI there is a BLACK rookie card for PRIZM 2020 Football. The word “Black” stands under the word “PRIZM” on the card.

Do you know anything about these cards? Are these new parallels?

The NPP for blasters are those going to card shops versus retail establishments like Target and WalMart. Much preferred if you are a LCC selling a blaster for 4 or 5x the MSRP.

What kind of packs have the silver rookie autographs? Are they hobby only or are they also found in other pack types. If so, which ones?

Most overproduced product in history of Sports cards…. by a lot.

Has anyone found an auto or relic in a cello pack? Curious if autos are exclusively for Mega and Hobby Boxes.

Great looking cards. I’ve been following college football over the past few years and there are a lot of good rookies this year: Jonathan Taylor, Jalen Hurts, JK Dobbins, KJ Hamler, Chase Young, and more. It will be interesting to see how these players grow and progress in the NFL.

These cards are awesome! Not sure why so many complaints. There are tiered prices for the different card sets. If you want lower priced cards, buy Score. Donruss is a level higher. If you want the best of the best choose Panini Prizm, but you will have to pay a bit more. This is true for all products in all industries.

For the people wanting Topps and Upper Deck back, you must not have been around years ago. Topps massed produced eveything years ago making your investment worthless. Upper Deck produced their baseball cards long after the year that supposedly came out. Go search Ken Griffey Jr. Rookie. They pretty much ruined the hobby for years. Many collectors lost alot of money.

I think Panini has done a great job.

I work in the inpatient healthcare world. It would be nice if Pinini could be nice to us now instead of breaking our financial backs.

what in the world is up with the Pricing, this is ridiculous. The NFL needs to let Topps back into the mix. I’m not too crazy about that Giant boarder on the sides. I’ll be buying three Jumbo Boxes :)

This is the best example yet of Panini abandoning their own customer base and sabotaging their hard earned position in the market. Diminished content and obscenely inflated prices across their entire product range will not be tolerated for very long. Don’t believe the lie of “supply and demand”, this can be explained in one word. Greed.

These are one of the least aesthetically pleasing that Panini has put out. However, I really do like the Color Blasts

To much base crap and Im not buying anymore cards until the USPS gets its act together – waiting 2 weeks or longer is getting to be ridiculas — fed up with all the excuses

Price aside, the terrible design with the faux metal border eating into the picture, and the reduced number of hits make this a product to avoid. And paying high-end prices for a mid-level product with sticker autographs is just cruel. A shame as Prizm used to be one of the more enjoyable releases for the kids each year. And Panini’s decision to destroy the brick-and-mortar stores via direct competition has all but crippled our local card shop. They get about 1/4 of their orders fulfilled and basically depend on non-Panini product to survive.

I like all the new cards, I think what’s going on right now is awesome. Keep it all American, for the future you know there’s going to be tons of reproductions on cards this high end. I think eventually you’ll have to put something on the high end ones so you know it’s not counterfeiters, like a certain chip or something. I’ve been a collector for 40 years, a big time collector, very passionate about all sports cards, think counterfeiting could eventually put an end to all this if not taken seriously, great looking cards

Stuff is way too expensive but this isnt a situation where Panini is charging $600/box out the door. To the extent that people are willing to gamble on a team slot in online breaks, this insanity will continue. As far as retail and store managers – that stuff has gone on since time immortal. Remember people fighting over Beanies?

Another money grabber by Panini. My local brick and mortar store will not stock Panini anymore. He tries to order but never can get any and the prices are out of this world. I buy about $800 of product a month but Panini will not get any of it.

I am so glad to see all the negative reviews of this product. Hopefully more people will get on the negative bandwagon and the prices for this garbage will go back to normal. Until then I will no longer be participating in the hobby.

I bought 2 FOTL boxes directly from Panini. Both boxes almost all cards are creased. Pure garbage. Many other people are reporting the same. My autos were Chaisson and Gladney. Both creased. Panini is a joke.

It’s just so wrong what’s going on with Prizm.

The FOTL and No Huddle boxes I’ve seen so far were just awful and not even remotely delivered to what you paid for.

Retail is also totally out of control.

This just isn’t right and I’m not willing to support this stuff.

Who ever is in charge of pricing or merchandising or whatever department it is over at Panini should be fired.

1) you priced out the low end collectors.
2) I purchased 2 FOTL boxes and was extremely dissapointed. I’m pulling bigger hits from retail boxes. I wont be purchasing hobby boxes at this rate anymore. This was the final straw for a mid tier collector.
3) breakers are struggling to fill breaks because they have to charge ridiculous amounts and the product is sub par.

Prices are utterly ridiculous. Unaffordable for 95% of normal people. Can only get in for a break and then you are paying hundreds of $$$ for your team and will most likely be out because the odds of you hitting a card worth the price of your team in a break is very low. No more for me! I’ll just purchase the individual cards I want on the secondary market. It was only a couple of years ago that you could buy a case for what one box is now costing! I thought monopolies on an industry were illegal!! Topps and Upper Deck, please come back to football!!!

Man, I remember buying a box of 2017 Prizm Football Hobby for $160 and thinking that was a lot of money……

I agree with many other collectors such as myself but when this Prizm set releases the prices are going to be crazy. A year ago I could buy a prizm pack for 20$ a pack for this could cost 40$ – 80$ when it releases. Overall the cards will be nice but will be a setback for many because of the price.
Also when will this be released?

What is a NPP blaster? I know Excell is Target and MJH is Wal-Mart. Who sells NPP?

Im inly giving one because enough is enough.Its no longer about the average collector its all for the breakers and flippers.Its heartbreaking to watch a child get upset because they cant afford a pack due to the low end product just dont exist. Panini is literally killing the collectors of future generations in a few short years..I see a huge crash coming because fact is its the little guys that sustain the market and without them there is no market!

This is so out of hand its ridiculous, the average collector is shoved aside and the wealthy flippers took over. How long can this sustain? What happens when the person actually interested in the card becomes no longer interested?

Card companies, and most all companies, will sell things for what people are willing to pay. If enough people will dish out the $1,000/ box price that they are asking, then they will sell it for that price. I would also add that I am sure costs have gone up a bit from their suppliers due to trade “deals” made by the Orange Prizm in Washington (though I am sure the costs are not enough to quadruple the price). The cards look nice and there are some good looking QB rc cards to get this year. It may be worth it to invest if you can. Do you have any info on FOTL boxes and whether they will be like Basketball (only parallels and inserts) or Baseball (base plus parallels and inserts) this year? Thank you.

Is it NPP for MJH because they haven’t set the retail price yet? I know Mosaic football retail prices jumped on the Hangers at Walmart/MJH. MJH seems to be $1 – $3 more expensive then Target / Excell

Beyond pricy! Looks great and while I can afford to buy this product, I doubt I will. Simply not worth the price. Also regarding retail a guy walked into the local where I shop and he had twenty retail blasters of products. He worked at Wal Mart and the products never made it to the floor as I heard him tell the owner he had every box that was delivered to his store. He is not the only employee getting his hands on the product as the owner of the local said he has multiple guys bring in retail trying to get him to buy it.

Well I’m gonna play it safe and start with 3 stars…its really lame that I have to do this, because really, I love this set every year. Until the last year and a half, when getting your hands on some of these was damn near impossible without having to take out a 2nd mortgage. I’m sure they’ll be high quality, sleek clean design, great return value and where the greatest hits lie. Their consistently great. But having to pay anywhere from 2 to 5× retail is not ok. If I have to, I’m going to go start camping out in my neighborhood wal mart super center when it gets to be about release day. It’s the only way to get em sometimes.

Sell it at 250 a hobby box and raffle out the chance to buy it and you get 5 stars from me.

Can Panini be any lazier with the use of stickers on chrome and acetate cards? It’s completely out of control
