2020 Panini Chronicles Draft Picks Football Cards

Nice variety, but Panini scrapes the bottom of the barrel to fill the autograph quota for these products. No standards at all.

changed my star vote to 5 — I keep seeing this PARALLEL CARD — what is a parallel card ? and are the xtra points cards in packs ?

I spoke to Panini today.

ALL NEW football and basketball products will be Target EXCLUSIVES

Walmart may carry Mosaic football but if it would release in the next few weeks they would NOT…They refuse to carry product due to the Redskins controversy

too many draft pick sets this year..
and Panini trying to ride the hoops train with non-sensical price increases for FB..
have not seen even one box of this broken where 60% of price paid was hit in each break..

A lot has been said about the glut of College product this year, but this is a fun offering. The Spectra, Phoenix and Elite really pop. Probably the most fun I’ve had with a Panini offering this year.

Ready for the rookies to be in NFL jerseys, though.

As someone who can only really afford retail products on a consistent basis, this is by a MILE the most fun set to hit big box store shelves in years. I’m so glad football is finally getting Chronicles, it’s one of the few things Panini absolutely kills it with these days. I’ve opened a few blasters and 2 Mega boxes, and while I haven’t gotten a huge auto, I’ve been showered with big name QB RC’s (10 Burrows, 13 Tuas, about 15 Herberts, 3 Jordan Loves, and 5 Jalen Hurts). With these boxes being Target exclusives, the RC’s out of this set might just be rare enough to insure they stay up in resale value too, at least compared to other collegiate sets. A+ product, absolute blast to rip if you can get your hands on the stuff!

P.S. There’s no veteran cards in this set, literally every card is a 2020 rookie! You’ll get a whole lotta nobodies, but pretty much every pack has a well-known player in it!

There should be a card of every 1st round pick but there isn’t. The fact that no one did a Tom Brady rookie or draft pick card, IIRC, has led to draft and rookie cards being made of every skill position prospect, no matter how obscure. The Browns’ first round pick doesn’t have an RC in Score, but their 6th rounder (last pick as they traded away their 7th) and one of their undrafted free agents do.

Is one of the other retail draft pick releases exclusive to Wal-Mart or does only Target have an exclusive?

If this is well organized and the checklist sticks with top names, it could be a winner. Chronicles has been very inconsistent though. This could just be another sticker dump. We shall see.

I hope these are actual draft picks and not undrafted free agents like the Contenders set
