2020 Panini Absolute Baseball Cards

Bought 1 blaster when it first came out. Would of given higher rating but…my hit was a redemption for Matt Chapman Iconic Ink Purple Spectrum. 2 years later and still waiting for it or a replacement and nothing but silence from Panini. Frustrating!

More like Absolute Waste. $100 spent on 5 boxes and 2 were duplicates. FML

Bought 1 blaster box. My hit was a Jonathan Hernandez Rookie Materials. Your info states Hobby Only for these. Did I pull this accidentally?? I did not see these in the listing on the side of the Blaster Box.

Warning on blasters….ripped 3 and got shorted a hit…not to mention only two packs per. Bad value

after buying 3 boxes, I feel cheated–and kind of stupid. While many of the cards do look good, the resale value of even nice hits is close to non-existent…literally, since posting a bunch on the first day they were out, one card has sold–and that was at a ridiculously low price. It’s worse than Diamond Kings. Panini is going to have to rethink their price point for baseball products–or drop them altogether. These are so worthless, I’m going them on my bicycle spokes to make that noise like I did when I was a kid–even the autos. My advice to Panini: stick to basketball and football.

I have gotten Absolute in Football in the past and just did not see it as being a premium card even though it is priced that way. It is not as nice as Select or Prizm yet cost more. You only get 20 cards for $200 though you do get 4 autos the auto checklist is huge so chances are not good you will land a desirable as they have a lot of marginal players in the checklist and of course they seem to sign many more cards than the stars or top prospects do. Then there is the likely hood at redemptions and with Panini that is like no card since they take months or years to fulfill.

I pulled a iconic ink triple #10 card and I have been getting a lot of flack in the card collecting community due to Panini having licensing rights only with the player’s association and not with ML,B hence the no logos or team names (just locations.) Will this issue cause Absolute Baseball cards not to achieve their full potential value in the years to come?

Panini always does a nice job with design and takes far more risk than Topps does. Topps was hoping to corner the baseball card market by buying logo rights, but Panini is going strong anyway. This set shows a solid design too. Some of the triple signature cards are amazing.
