2020-21 Donruss Basketball Cards

Does anyone know how many signature series autos that each card has? Can’t seem to really find any pricing on these or how many per player where released. Got to imagine guys like Zion / LaMelo will be the highest prices but understanding how many per player will help dictate the prices. Looking to buy Zion but price in shops are all over the scale. Thanks

Fun product to open but others concerns are warranted on prices going up, I think they will come back down, everyone just thought demand would be huge to start and have since found out it is not. I have seen others like panini prizm basketball hobby boxes go from $2300 presell prices which is now down to 1299 on sale

It’s not Panini – It is the Player Associations that drive up the prices – They are the first step in the process and since they are all immune from anti-trust laws, they ultimately set the price and who carries their leaques cards.

Everyone should boycott Panini, and let them chock on there over prices cards! Blister boxes before Covid19 were $19.99! Talk about price gougers, a movement and law suite should be filed to stop Panini! They are real American crooks.

Why do I not see any information or expectations for the RETAIL VERSION of Donruss Basketball this year??? Does that mean that Panini is going to make an even dumber move by making this supposed “Tier 1” product, HOBBY ONLY this year??? WTH???

Sorry but this is getting disgusting what the pack busters are doing to the hobby of card collecting especially NBA cards. 600 a box for Hoops, 1000 for Donruss, my guess is Prizm will be about 5 grand. Panini has blood on their hands also as they are doing nothing to stop the price gouging on their products. It’s getting to a point where there will be zero young or entry level collectors and by then the bottom will fall out like in the 90’s and the high end collectors will bail which will destroy most of the major sport card manufacturers.

Very Disappointed in this set Price Wise!!! I bought 4 hobby boxes last year cheaper than I can purchase 1 box this year. The Marvel Set Contains NO Rookies!!! I just started back collecting last year again with my Grandson and can’t really afford to pay them prices for a lower tier product like Donruss. I can only Imagine what a box of Hobby Prizm will be. It’s Not a Hobby Anymore!!! It’s GREED!!! 😕

Let’s hope that this is the end of Panini and their basketball card license. Topps should get the license back.

I saw where someone already made the statement that I was gonna make, this ain’t a hobby anymore. It’s all about the $$$ now. With prices for all the sports cards at what they are now, and continuously going up, less and less kids will be getting involved with the “Hobby”. Hope this bubble will burst soon.

Watched a big hitter bust a box that cost him $1,085.00 including tax. His autograph was a complete nobody. He did hit a Lemelo patch but the patch was almost all white. This product should be about $150.00 at the most and at our local, $150 wouild buy you one pack! Done with basketball, refuse to pay these prices.

Gee buy a box of basketball cards or feed my family for a month or more ??????This has gotten way out of control at $100.00 a pack just to get regular cards. Quality the same just people trying to pull that get rich quick card. THIS IS NOT A HOBBY ANYMORE !!! for all of you that bought hope you don’t mind taking a BIG loss. you have a better chance sports betting than this.
Ponder this each card is about $3.33 a card. that you will find in 25 cent boxes at your dealer in 6 months .Enjoy !!!!

Honestly, the only box I may purchase this year is a Hobby box of 2021 Topps Opening Day Baseball. Basketball is untouchable at this point. If I’m going to lose value on my purchase, I’d rather lose a couple $20s than hundreds on a hobby box purchase…

Shopping the singles market almost exclusively this year. Nothing is available at retail, I’m not buying from flippers and I’m not purchasing these overpriced hobby boxes nor from breakers. I have a feeling a lot of people are in the same boat.

Donruss is usually a fun flagship set. With hobby boxes being $1000-1200 from preorders, it is going to put it out of reach of most people. It is hard to justify buying a hobby box at the price, even for people who actively grade and sell. ROI is not there when the pricepoint is that high.

Yes, you can get retail, but that will get gobbled up immediately, because most collectors are priced out of hobby versions.

I love Donruss and bought a box each year. The designs are great, the value for each box is worth it.

However changing the price point from $100 to $200 and now $400 is a too much!!!

This is supposed to be a Tier 1 product and should be affordable to the average Joe.
