MLB team socks and MLB trading cards might not seem like the most natural pairing, but it works quite well for 2019 Topps PKWY Baseball. The promotional cards come as a free gift with select youth sock purchases.
A more surprising connection, the MLB-licensed sock company has co-founder Dwyane Wade (yes, the NBA superstar) on its roster. Of course, PKWY also makes NBA socks.
2019 Topps PKWY Baseball Set Details
The 2019 Topps PKWY Baseball checklist features the images and design from 2019 Topps Series 1 Baseball. So they are really more of a partial parallel for the flagship set, but the lineup is much smaller and the card numbering is not the same.
On the front, the main difference is the added PKWY logo.
Backs are even more clear about the promo, pushing the 25-card set and other 2019 Topps Baseball cards
The three-card packs can be be found within marked PKWY Combo Pack youth socks at Target locations, as well as "specialty retailers" that were not specified.
Topps regularly dabbles in promo sets tied to various food or clothing brands, including options for New Era hats and Utz potato chips.
