In addition to a base card for each player, collectors can earn free bonus cards if the depicted slugger wins the competition. The T-Mobile event takes place on Monday, July 8 at 8 PM EST on ESPN.

Featuring some of the top MLB stars, the 2019 Topps Now Home Run Derby Baseball checklist offers the entire eight-man field. Every card is sold individually for $9.99. This is the standard procedure for 2019 Topps Now Baseball.
MLB.com put together a nice bracket for the 2019 Home Run Derby, which shows how the players are matched up.
The key difference is that by purchasing a select player, you are also making your pick(s) for HR Derby champion. The selling period is also extended a few extra days from the normal 24-hour timeframe.
Those who make the right call earn a free "card of the moment" bonus for the winning player. There are also 50 on-card autographs up for grabs if the champ is Matt Chapman, Pete Alonso, Ronald Acuna Jr. or Vladimir Guerrero Jr. If one of these players wins the 2019 Home Run Derby, there is no guarantee but successful collectors have a shot at the signed card.
Please note that Christian Yelich was replaced by Matt Chapman in the HR Derby on the day of the event.
There are also limited relics with much higher prices, but these don't play into the bonus card aspect.
