2019 Topps Finest Baseball Cards – Mystery Redemptions

The number of duplicates that you get is criminal. The card design is acceptable. The design for the blue chips and the prized contenders is unattractive. I like some of the autos, but the lack preferred auto from teams such as the RedSox is disappointing. There are more from Tampa, really the Devil Rays. Give us a break! I give it 2 stars due to the some of the attractive autos! Step it up Topps!!

I like this set. I did pull a finest Mystery #2. Do we know if it will be a rookie or a veteran? Also, do we know if it will be an auto or just a refractor?

O agree with the 2 star ratings. Terrible first impression…
I bought a box to scout it out, and my 2 mini boxes were both duds. Two base RC autos, nothing great in parallel refractors. $10 per pack price is ridiculous for something not much better than topps Chrome which is 1/3 the price.

Love Finest products and always have. I have a RC of Jake Bauers (#86-Cleveland) and the back shows ‘Major League Batting Record’ with games totalling 606 and the rest of the stats mirroring a multi-year career rather than a RC. Is this a mistake?

Topps missed Brandon Lowe in any Bowman Prospect sets.. back to 2015.. finally now have an RC in this years’

again no RC in this… missed in the base set
but he does have an auto…
why? because they needed to include a Willy Adames card..lol
and he might just end up being the biggest star of all RCs this year.

Can you confirm that for the Vlad base RC card #101 — there are no color ref versions.

all of the redemptions of different colors are for the autos.

Love this product. I can’t understand folks on ebay selling these Guerreros as an SP, what a joke. These are no way short prints. I bought half a case and got 5 of them. A friend of mine bought a case and got 13. SP I doubt that, but I’ll take the money for them. I’m rich….lol

Always liked Finest, and I like the design this year but I have watched many a case break trying to determine if he hits are worth the price and I must say after watching 17 cases opened, I’ll not be buying any this year. I have seen so many Jake Bauers pulled im going to puke. In can buy his card on ebay for a 1.99 and save myself about 120 bucks

Opened up 1 hobby box and got maybe $10 worth of cards. the 2 autos were of no names and got 1 numbered refractor. Watched a couple of case breaks and the only card worth anything was the case hit. 2 stars only because the cards look nice. I wont be buying any more of this product. A waste of $120.

I bought my first 2 hobby boxes today of this product and in the second box I pulled a redemption for a orange wave auto of Vladimir guerrero jr

The Vlad Guerrero Jr 101 card is considered to be his actual rookie card by Beckett and not just a variation SP.

Very nice & easily to read cards for 2019. Really personally love the design for 2019 as well. I usually buy a Blaster Box of Topps Finest each year but have bought Hobby Boxes in the past as well.

I compare these cards to Bowman’s Best. And, to me Bowman’s Best usually takes the cake between the 2 cards. They are usually pretty close in price range as well.

Bowman’s Best are usually a few bucks higher & deservedly so because they seem to look better & also have more available inserts. Bowman’s Best also seems to pack their cards a little better as well in terms of more value. But, I do love the new clear, clean, & crisp look for 2019 Topps Finest so I will probably get a Hobby Box this year.

You cant look at raw numbers like that. 20 of those Yankees cards are the Mariano Rivera insert set and checklist. I agree that they skew heavily towards the Yankees but it isn’t that extreme as you show.

Always a fan of Finest, but even I have found the doldrums after reading checklists the last few years.

So does that mean there will be 2 cards numbered as 101 for the base/extended set?

If they wanted to add Vlad Jr & glad they did but wouldnt card 126 make more sense.. either way its a extended set card number.
