UPDATE: I’ve now opened 18 boxes and was able to complete a base set (finally) with the very last box (needed Muncy).

5 Bote autos! Aside from that I was happy with the color in my boxes as I ended up with 2 gold autos, 3 blue autos, 1 black auto and a good number of color base. Also, 3 Color/B&W “moments” autos (one of course being Bote).

Anybody need four David Bote autos? Seriously, the randomization process for these boxes is a joke. I purchased 10 boxes at once this is the Autograph breakdown:

David Bote: 4
Kohl Stewart: 2
Taylor Ward: 2
Josh Johnson: 2

I won’t even get into all of the base cards but here are some highlights:

0 Pete Alonso but 6 Vernon Wells
0 Ronald Acuna Jr. but 5 Kohl Stewart
0 Gleyber Torres but 3 David Bote (in addition to the 4 autos)
0 Miguel Andujar but 4 Josh Hader

I’m no mathematician but I just don’t understand how my pulls could have been so consistently poor out 100 cards. I wrote to Topps but no response. Very disappointed…

Ordered four boxes. A single, which contained a David Bote autograph and then three more later and I got another David Bote autograph…

This continues to be my favorite set of the year with its clean design and limited distribution. As Jay pointed out, collation is tricky with such a small set. I bought 10 boxes and am still short 3 base but have triples of most others. Also, this year’s crop of signers feels “lighter” than the previous two years.

Nice product, but disappointed in the variety. I purchased six boxes, which meant 54 commons after the autos, black & white and Captured In The Moment inserts. Of the 54 commons, 24 were dupes. You would think Topps could send six boxes that they knew would not have so many repeats (most dupes of any one player was four). The autos were a yawner for the most part… nothing really of value.
