2019 Bowman Chrome Baseball Cards

I love Bowman generally speaking but this product is junk. 2 autos were Ryan McKenna ( his 4th or 5th prospect auto) and Mike Siani. There were only 8 1st Bowman cards. No 1st Bowman colour, either.

Absolute waste of money. I purchased about 7 hobby boxes of 2018 chrome last year but this is a one and done year.

Avoid this and buy 2019 Bowman baseball instead. This product flat out stinks.

Disappointed. Two sad base autos and nothing else worth even mentioning. Understand that it’s a gamble at times; however this was the lowest outcome I have seen in years. The players they decided to go with for the variations was questionable. I should have learned my lesson when I watched a case break on youtube and wasn’t impressed with their outcome. Agree with some of the other comments – just too much money for very little return.

I think this one has been good to me. Sorry for those with not much luck. So far I’ve scored a Angelo Kirk purple refractor auto serial number from a pack. Other highlights have been Jarred Kelenic, Fernando Tatis Jr. as well.

I really like the design and the colors and also the photos of the players on these cards but I’m having problems with how to assess border evenness here. I understand the top and the right or left depending upon what card it is but I’m having difficulty I’m assessing the evenness of the bottom border. Are you supposed to go by the white line that goes from the team logo over to the 45 degree angle artwork with the player’s name on it? Trey, I would appreciate any information on how to assess the bottom border centering on the cards from this set. I would greatly appreciate it. Jim

Garbage product- bowman trying to profit of recent years success- absolute terrible product this year

With the little amount of good cards the box should retail in the $50-80 range.

It would be one thing if it was even a good looking product, but they didnt even succeed at that this year-

Because of the high demand for this product, and low demand for other products besides Bowman. Topps feels the need to make $ when they can. For us collectors out there it means too many nobody autographs and too much duplication. Shimmer and wave refractors are another way Topps can make more product. They basically doubled production purple/250, purple shimmer/250. So now /500 purple ref’s. I would rather get 1 or 2 worth while refractors in a box than 6 junk shimmer, and blue wave crap. Next to come. 1. more subsets of deadbeats and then 2. Sticker autos
STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK!!

There are not enough good rookie cards. I have been in two case breaks and was very disappointed with the product. Not flashy and way too expensive. Very hard to get a great card.

will there be a retail version for chrome

Horrible this year… all autos are from perennial minor leaguers, RC autos are very few and far apart (1 in 5 cases is what I’ve seen). Busted about 1k in product and no one worth talking about. Spread is bad to many times 2 autos same player same box. Bowman can keep this one. HTA full of to much base, very disappointed.

First 2019 chrome hta and my last two Blaine Knight autos 1 refractor and 1 base and a base Sam Hentges. 179 bucks for garbage and 2 cards of same player!!! Very disappointed in this product I have been a bowman fan for decades, maybe time to change or just stick with hobby boxes!!!!

Who are the big prospect autos in this product? With 68 auto subjects that seems like alot.

Pretty sure the pics come from spring training when they do wear the MLB team uniforms. Also I believe they have MLB-like uniforms for some Rookie leagues.

Love this product but….What the hell does HTA stand for? LOL

I really enjoy this product and I will probably purchase my very first hobby hta box this year if I can save up. Maybe some of you can help me understand a couple of things, I hope these arent dumb questions:
1. With the prospect cards, how do they get the players in mlb uniforms when they have never played in a major league game?
2. Why does everyone consider the bowman chrome prospect card a rookie card when it is not part of the base set?
3. Why does bowman include base cards, rookie cards and prospect cards in the same set? Why not just include prospect cards and let topps handle the rookie cards?
These questions are always running through my head and causing me confusion SSI I would really appreciate some feedback from all the experts or there. Thanks and happy collecting!

It’s hard to dispute that Bowman Chrome baseball is the VERY best product, in terms of baseball cards. But, as we can all figure, the PRICE is getting higher every year. Shops/breakers hold some of the product back, and this has become a HIGH RISK/HIGH REWARD hobby…better adapt quick and get used to it!

Having said that you can figure that everything such as imaging etc. is top quality. Saving grace is the HARD signed autos. Good product to have in the PC definitely!
