Stanley Cup Edition 20th Anniversary Silver Script Checklist I opened 7 more packs last night and got another Auto, With the last 7 packs (6 standard and 1 bonus) tonight.All I can figure is it was end of run and they still had autos to put in.?

Nice looking set. I have never been in favor of parallels and redemption cards. Just a few to many inserts sets.

Love the Foil inserts. Designs are fresh, especially the Supernovas. Not to hard to put together as well so they should be a hit for most of us that open a box or three.

Please UD… go back to the foil cards for the OPC. last years Black Border #/100 were not a hit and I believe most of us were not impressed with the cardboard version. The black rainbow foil of years past were much more of a chase.

Postseason #5 is not David Krejci it is Patrice Bergeron– Krejci is #3. Vladimir Tarasenko is #8. Charlie Coyle is #6.

Love the puzzles. Creative idea. All other products have so many of the same things, autos and jerseys. This is something unique.

MVP is one of the best sets in the hobby simply because it generally is the first release of the year, comes in under US $50 often later dipping to US $25-$35 for hobby, is for set builders, and caters to newbies and kids. The configuration is tested and true, and serves to generate enthusiasm around the upcoming season. Note that the product is so accessible that it is available in other countries like Denmark, which simply do not have the card accessibility that Canada and the US have.

This year’s rendition is pretty standard, including a few new inserts but dispensing with the player credential passes of recent years. I know some are disappointed that autos are hard to come by, and the 2-on-2 jerseys no longer exist. MVP is not about hits. But, this is where MVP lacks a bit of imagination. In years past, MVP has tried to include an auto, jersey card, or super script #/25 in each hobby box as the stated hit. If jerseys no longer exist, UD can do a bit more with the super scripts to set them apart and transform them into hard hits. Otherwise, riffing off the new Laser Shots inserts, or inserts from higher end products – SP Authentic, Triology, SPx, etc. – UD should include another low numbered textured/tactile/technology insert that feels like a monumental hit for MVP. Otherwise, the hobby box is devoid of its one big reward and conversation piece.

I know some suggest MVP should have a second series instead of divisional redemptions. I disagree. Those redemption packs are easily acquired on the secondary market. The entire point of MVP is its early release and ease with which the entire base-plus-high-series can be built even prior to training camp. It is gratifying that such a low-end product nonetheless contains a chase element, similar to the early 2000s OPC/Topps redemption packets. All in all, MVP still delivers a cheap, rough and tumble product that can be ripped in a schoolyard or hockey arena by even the tiniest and filthiest human hands.

They need to stop sp the best players – that is no fun – just a money grab to complete the set

last year the Super Script Black were only for cards 201-250, any insight as to if that is the case again this year ?

For a traditionally low end product, decent array of inserts w/ a chance of hitting some big autos and redemptions

So the Blue Liners inserts were changed to laser shots?

One of the puzzle backs says “Lindholm”. Does anyone know which one? I assume it’s Elias, since Upper Deck seems to have no love for Hampus at all? Would love to know though..

Still the cheapest product if you have kids but if they eliminate the autographs and other hits, not cool.

any info regarding Autographs in the MVP ?
We averaged 2 Credentials Auto’s per case in the 18-19 issue but since they have done away with the Credentials I’m worried they have also done away with the Auto’s. Thx in advance for any info,

Like the MVP most years. With they would just do an update in a later set than the rookie redemptions. Also wish they would get rid of the puzzle back parallels. Glad to see NHL Credentials gone though hated those.

Looks good design wise and the set is a nice choice to pick up some early season rookie cards for a lower price point. That being said it would be nice if UD dropped the hard to find draft redemption cards and simply made a series 2 that contained the draft rookies for that said year.

If they Anniversary cards follow like the 2018-19 set, they are not a parallel but an actual insert.

Will there be buybacks from the original Stanley Cup Edition? I was not lucky enough to pull a buyback from my single 2018-19 box, I was hoping to.

Cards look great, but no more hits whatsoever! That’s a little too bad.

I think they could do better mvp use to have 1on1 an 2on 2_jersey cards
