2019-20 Panini Select Hockey offers collectors another online-only release that focuses on just a pair of young NHL players.
Similar to 2019-20 Score Hockey and 2019-20 Prizm Hockey before it, the set highlights New York Rangers' rookies Kaapo Kakko and Vitali Kravtsov. These are the only options in the entire product.
It remains to be seen how many of these two-player sets will be issued by Panini, especially with no logos or licensing, but 2019-20 Obsidian Hockey cards have already been teased by Panini.
2019-20 Panini Select Hockey Set Details
While fundamentally similar to the earlier options, 2019-20 Panini Select Hockey does make some changes. Increasing from two cards per pack to three cards per pack, the price also jumps to $74.99. The tradeoff is that each pack contains one Autograph Jersey card from either Kakko or Kravtsov. Numbered Prizm parallels feature Prime and Super Prime editions. These are the first rookie auto relics for either player and this is the first '19-20 Panini hockey set to feature a signed card in all packs.
Every 2019-20 Panini Select Hockey pack also promises one rookie card and one Prizm parallel. Kakko comes in two versions, including a New York card and a Team Finland card.
