What a trash product….$80 for two boxes, and the best card I got was a $3 Enes Kanter card….lol, never again.

Flippers are the scum of the Earth, blasters are minimum 70.00 dollars, they should be banned from Ebay etc etc. Same sort that buy all the sanitizer and TP, just to exploit their neighbors in a crisis. Panini should be ashamed of themselves for allowing a handful or scumbags corner the entire market on their products.

Card collecting nowadays is not as fun anymore like the 90’s because of all these greedy hoarders who’s not even in it for the hobby. I too became a victim of the hype and ended up spending quite a bit from jacked up prices in ebay (as a result of sell outs everywhere in retail) after retiring from card collecting (last time I bought and collected was the during the Jordan era on his last season with the Bulls). Got a few good hits but majority of the auto and patches are mediocre unlike before where autos and jersey patches were really the rare ones. Not for everyone and I guess I’ll stop again after “testing the waters” again for this new age of card collecting. Oh well, lesson learned. Panini should restrict the amount bought for each customer to keep it a fair playing field. Younger kids who are looking to collect just like me before have little to no chance of getting their hands on the good and premium stuff.

question on the product i was lucky to hit 2 checkerboards in 2 different packs 1 a morant but there are print lines on both cards is anyone else have these problems and what to do with panini to see if they could be replaced would appreciate help trey

I jumped into the hype and bought one box for $450. I lucked out and hit a base Ja and base Zion but the color cards were nobodies and the auto was very low tiered rookie auto. Will not be buying any more. Owner of the local tried to get me to buy one of his cases for only $5,400 Don’t think so! Select will be the same so doubtful I will go down that rabbit hole.

I bought 5 boxes and didn’t get any decent cards at all. Waste of money !!

The sad part about the retail end is these guys are doubling up on the price of a blaster ($40) and they’re still only making about 7-8 $ on a transaction after fees and shipping. 5% of the the hobby community having 95% of the inventory is never a good thing.

Spent two days going to 20 freaking stores in 2 counties I have yet to find one store that hasnt been wiped clean the second they were delivered but hey I could spend $40 and get a searched box on E-Bay!?! This is how a hobby dies……

It is not Panini’s fault for the high prices! Remember the SRP is $100 a box . . . A low end product. It is the distributors and secondary hoarders like Blowout that set arbitrarily high prices for these products. Where does $400 a box pre-sale come from? Thin air? What people will pay? Breakers (gamblers) don’t help either when you can sell a random team case break for $100, the original price of the box, so with 32 teams, a the case price suddenly jumps to $3,200+! And the novice “Zion lemmings” will follow suit, especially when anyone who camps out at Walmart or Target can get in on the action. With Zion came a lot of attention, and people collecting/investing in cards who didn’t before or people who have returned to see what all the excitement is about. Prices will climb accordingly. . .

Really struggling to find the value in these boxes at this price point…I’ve seen cases cracked that don’t produce any high end rookie holos and the value of cards coming out of the boxes in many cases comp below $100. The slippery slope that distributors and Panini have been on, continues.

Zion base auto must go over $6000+ to make it worth to pull….

Product is good, but Panini is still not changing their ways in how they sell it! I agree buying off of Panini’s site should be for collectors, not flippers! Limit all products to one box per person/address and incorporate a LOTTERY system already! Spread the joy! The reverse auction as is done for FOTL is great! Flippers and bots hate it, so that is great for the collectors!

While I agree Panini sucks, its actually the distributors that are jacking up the prices. ask any hobo store what the likes of GTS distribution do to the box prices.

I sent a letter to Panini yesterday after unsuccessfully getting a box of Optic for $100 on their site. I was there right at the start of 11:00 and clicked for 10 minutes only for it to be sold out. This has happened to me WAY too many times.

Hobby shops are having all their employees buy them up and selling them for 4-5 times the amount. How do I know this? Because Panini sets purchase limits and most of these hobby shops sell more than that limit.

I told Panini that average folks (like me) can’t afford to enjoy a hobby that we love. Or as someone else said, bring my kid into it!! It’s not Panini’s fault that hobby shops jack up these prices. But they COULD give us average folks a little bit of help!!

It would be great to see Panini place restrictions on hobby shops from selling too many high-demand products.

Anybody else ready to start a movement of boycotting Panini?

I just bought into a group case break of this product. Only one big rookie auto pulled out of the whole case which was Tyler Hero. Majority of all of the autos were extremely off centered too. Horrible quality for such a high end product. Don’t waste your money on this product. Even if you pull a Zion auto more than likely it will be off center so you wont get a good grade on it.

Is it me or is it insane that ebay sellers are allowed to purchase hundreds of boxes of the sets and sell for twice the amount ($160). The greediness of these people is absurd. Meanwhile I can’t buy just one for my 9 yr old’s bday gift unless I want to give those tools a 200% profit and be their 450th buyer. SMH. Tragedy.

Blasters are already going for $45 at the minimum on Ebay and I’m sure the price will keep going up…

One star strictly based on box prices being close to $400. That is insane! Like Troy said, you drop that much cash and pull a retire vet auto that has basically no real value other than being a nice card. Totally insane and an avoid for me. Would be a good buy at $135 a box but not $400 or around that dollar amount.

There goes panini killing the hobby again ridiculous prices for one auto a box you pull a vet auto unless a superstar or a top 5 rookie you are getting a $5 – $20 card now we will have everyone cramming Walmart and target getting it all and doubling the price on that can’t even afford to bring my kids into the hobby!! Well guess it’s topps and upper deck from now on!!!

Is it just me.. or can we now honestly say that Zion is not that much more special that many other NBA players who did not make the price of cards go up when they were rookies..
I would take a couple of other current rookies above Zion for sure.

$400+ for a Hobby box? Looks like there will be quite the scrum at Target and Wal-Mart….

Any chance Panini will hire 1000% more quality assurance employees to verify card centering?
