Collectors love the smell of free cards in the morning, and that is just what 2018 Upper Deck National Hockey Card Day delivers! The new year of the NHCD promotion occurs at select hobby shops in the United States and Canada on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
A familiar event for many collectors on either side of the border, the 2018 Upper Deck National Hockey Card Day checklist is again split into separate lines featuring five cards per pack. Mimicking the 2017 NHCD set, look for different 15-card sets for Canadian and American fans featuring themed subsets, with a 16th card to close out each base set issued as a $10 UD purchase incentive.
The 2018 Upper Deck National Hockey Card Day packs also have some extra surprises. This means Victory Black rookie inserts continued from the Fall Sport Card & Memorabilia Expo set, very rare autographs of past years, and even a little more. The USA-only Inaugural Images set documents the first season for the Vegas Golden Knights franchise, while the 10th Anniversary Tribute set highlights five previous Young Guns cards in honor of a decade's worth of NHCD.
Canadian collectors can also obtain exclusive uncut sheets at participating London Drugs, Pro Hockey Life and Toys R Us locations, plus the Hockey Hall of Fame.
