Showcasing some of the greatest players in league history, 2018 Upper Deck Authenticated NBA Supreme Hard Court Basketball features 5" by 7" pieces of game-used court that are enhanced with additional player relics and even hard-signed autographs.
Because these are not trading cards, this allows Upper Deck to use NBA licensing for many top names, including UDA exclusives Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Ben Simmons. Each box contains two memorabilia pieces at a reported SRP of $500 per box, but prices quickly moved much higher than that after release.
Despite the 2018 date, each item carries a 2016-17 Upper Deck Supreme Hard Court designation. The actual design includes game-used flooring from the Charlotte Bobcats' arena that was in use from 2005 to 2013.
2018 Upper Deck Authenticated NBA Supreme Hard Court Options
Offering 27 different players shown through a variety of images and teams, the 2018 Upper Deck Authenticated NBA Supreme Hard Court checklist includes relic-only options, signed memorabilia, and auto relic pieces.
Adding game-used gear are Combo Relics and Quad Relics. The main NBA Autographs set has a printed logoman image and hand-numbering to 99 or less. The NBA Black and White Variation Autographs edition is another choice.
Autograph relics average 1:16 packs, and include NBA Rookie Auto Patch Relics (#/99) for Ben Simmons with four gear swatches. There are also Career Legacy Autograph pieces for Jordan that are numbered to 23.
The low-numbered NBA Prime Autograph Relics versions showcase quality memorabilia and a signature for MJ and LBJ.
Going to the next level is the one-of-one NBA Logoman Autographs Relics line, which features the actual jersey logoman patch for James, Jordan and Simmons.
Although the autographs are going to be the main takeaway for many collectors, the quarter-inch of flooring used to make the collectibles is sure to delight fans, as well.
