A landmark brand in the Star Wars trading card universe sees its return in 2018 Topps Star Wars Galaxy.
Like the iconic 1993 release, Galaxy relies on artwork to honor the many characters across the franchise. Each Hobby box promises one autograph and one additional hit that can be a sketch card, commemorative patch or a second signature.
2018 Topps Star Wars Galaxy Base
Highlighting characters and moments from the history of Star Wars, the 150-card base set showcases new illustrations from many top artists. The second half of the base set in the 2018 Topps Star Wars Galaxy checklist is saved for images that were never used before on trading cards. Parallels include Blue, Green (1:4 packs), Purple (#/99), Orange (#/25) and Red (1/1) versions, plus Printing Plates (1/1).
2018 Topps Star Wars Galaxy Inserts
The inserts average one per pack overall and offer a robust selection. Extending from the digital realm, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels director, Dave Filoni, supplies the art for Journey of Ahsoka. There is also a six-card Galaxy Puzzle from Joe Corroney, and six Wanted Posters from Eli Maffei.
Russell Walks provides options for the good and the evil with poster-style Star Wars: Rogue One Propaganda and New Trilogy Propaganda cards. In addition, the famed Glebe brothers (Matt and Mick) are responsible for the Legends Character inserts.
2018 Topps Star Wars Galaxy Autographs
The 2018 Topps Star Wars Galaxy checklist also features signatures from some of the biggest names in the saga. The main Autographs set includes Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley and Harrison Ford, among many other cast members, as well as low-numbered Blue (#/50), Green (#/25), Purple (#/10), Orange (#/5), Red (1/1), and Printing Plate (1/1) editions.
There are also limited Dual Autographs, Triple Autographs and Six-Person Autographs (#/2).

Other box hits in 2018 Topps Star Wars Galaxy come as Sketch cards or Commemorative Patch cards. Hand-drawn sketch cards are issued in normal form as well as Shaped and Panoramic Sketches. I was a Star Wars fan since 1979, and a sports Card collector since around the same time. In the Covid card drought, I didn’t see a box of cards for months and decided to purchase a blaster of 2018 Star Wars Galaxy cards and aside from seeing some cool cards of my favorite characters growing up, and some from the new episodes, I pulled a Kylo Ren card #/25, and a Darth Vader Art Masterpiece Card #/99 as well as a Holofoil card of Princess Leia. A little later my wife bought me a box of Rise of Skywalker cards, and I pulled an R2-D2 art relic #/25, so I am a big fan of the products
