One of the most popular sets in the galaxy is back with 2018 Topps Star Wars Galactic Files! All things Star Wars, the comprehensive product includes every film up to The Last Jedi and the two animated series.
Although the original Galactic Files came in 2012, the brand was Reborn in 2017. That style is continued in 2018, promising one autograph and one additional hit in every Hobby box.
2018 Topps Star Wars Galactic Files Base / Inserts
Appearing to match the 2017 design, the base set actually continues the numbering from the 2017 reboot and offers Blue (1:2 packs), Green (#/199), Purple (#/99), Gold (#/10) and Red (1/1) parallels. There is also the all-new White edition, numbered to just five copies.
Themed inserts in the 2018 Topps Star Wars Galactic Files checklist focus on specific things like Locations, Quotes, Vehicles, and Weapons. Notable scenes are found in Galactic Moments, while the Band of Heroes and Sinister Syndicates inserts are new choices for the good and evil forces.
2018 Topps Star Wars Galactic Files Autographs
Falling one per Hobby box, the signed cards in 2018 Topps Star Wars Galactic Files cover some of the biggest names from the franchise. Base Autographs include low-numbered Green (#/50), Purple (#/25), Gold (#/10), White (#/5), and Red (1/1) parallels, plus four Printing Plates (1/1) per card.
There are also limited Dual Autograph, Triple Autograph and Six-Person Autograph cards to hunt down.
2018 Topps Star Wars Galactic Files - Other Hits
Among the other hits in the 2018 Topps Star Wars Galactic Files checklist are Sketch cards. The hand-drawn pieces are each one-of-one editions.
Source Material Fabric Swatch cards provide pieces of the items that inspired the on-screen costumes. These have Purple (#/25), Gold (#/10), White (#/5), and Red (1/1) parallels, as well.
Finally, the manufactured Movie Poster Patch cards use commemorative relics to honor the various Star Wars films. Parallels include Blue (#/99), Green (#/50), Purple (#/25), Gold (#/10) and Red (1/1) versions.

Right now this is a 2 star product for me. Great looking cards that continue the 2017 set. However there is a major issue:
Purchased 3 blasters from the store. They had 1 case of them available, so around 12 blasters total. After opening them, 2 blasters were nearly identical. 66/81 cards were identical.
I can buy 2 of any other product out there in sports cards and not have 81% of the cards in the box be duplicates of an identical box.
I have contacted Topps QA to see what they can do. I cannot spend any more money on this product until it is resolved.
