I was thinking about how SP’s & Print Runs seem to be more Panini’s thing (2010-13 Contenders SP redemptions in blasters)). And Topps’ “obsession” is definitely variations. I just assume by default now that all Topps’ sets have variations. So, with any Topps product-I take the RC’s and inserts worth keeping, and try and remember to check the last 2 digits of the code # on everything!

Funny you mentioned that. One guy I see has already declared his Lindor an “SP”…If it’s true that Topps has said nothing on Print #’s, then I just maybe should go ask where he got his official short print info from ;-)

I did notice last years’ were numbered pretty low, and worth quite a bit-hence why I came on here!

Tempted, with not much risk in getting some value for what I paid. But the most overlooked and important question is: What’s the print run of each player’s base autograph? I could do the math by knowing the odds of #’ed parallels-but the ratio worries me, unless Topps released it since? Last years autos show the PR of each in my price guide. But if there’s none provided this year-it’s probably for a reason…

Or maybe like a 100-throw pitch limit,
Shohei’s hand is almost at the Angels’ 8 billion Topps Autograph limit for the year.

Topps almost never includes print runs. Last year, every base autograph was numbered, so each print run was manually added to the checklist. The base autographs aren’t numbered this year, so you have to guess which are the SPs based on how many show up online.

Really like this set, nice design this year. Appreciate the “RC” marking but disappointed they included so many in this years set, prefer the vets and retired players. Auto variation in my boxes has been good but waaaaaaay too many dups with the base cards.

Nice product overall, but the autos leave a bit to be desired. I bought four boxes and pulled Read, Khris Davis, DeJong, and Ankiel. That happens when half the checklist is a dud, but I did expect to get at least one decent auto in my boxes.

Base checklist is also nice. Although I didn’t hit Ohtani or Trout, I did hit an Acuna and most of the other rookies.

A great product. A guaranteed on-card auto at $25/box with a curated checklist is a winning formula. The card stock itself is not too notch which is the only slight here.
After being a novice collector since I was a kid, I got lucky. I pulled a black border Judge auto 1/1. How do I find out how much that could be worth?
The above may be contributing bias to my rating, but would you blame me?
