2018-19 Panini Prizm Basketball Cards

Are there any known error cards?
Like the josh hart with RC stamp & shai gilgeous withiut the RC stamp.
Can you confirm these errors please?

Collection Optic Last year and started Prizm this year. But overall, it’s over-priced. The most worthy pack is the retail/baslter which gives you one hit per box at $20. Hobby cost $200+ with only 2-3 hits. Not sure what’s the point if you are not a big hit fan.

I think there is too much product, starting to feel like the 80’s

i bought my first box and pulled Rookie Signatures Prizms Silver Set Checkliss #9 i put it in sleave and hard case wicht stoped it from warping the card i think there very nice cards and def am happy with my purchase a blaster box 6 packs 4 cards per pack

10 percent of these cards are warped so badly you can’t even put them in plastic card savers. So unacceptable especially for the expensive asking price of these cards. Worst defect rate and warp rate of any cards I’ve ever opened in my life! Not even close! Do not buy this junk! Do not support this company!

I have recently started collecting Prizm from this year 18-19, and I can finally have a solid opinion. Since I did not purchase last years Prizm I can not really compare, but from reading other reviews I do think that it is a blessing that there are no more coach cards.

As a full time student who works part time I have to buy my boxes/packs in increments. I can’t go on a $200+ ripping spree like most people I see on message boards and youtube. I had bought a lot of the blaster boxes, individual packs, and the 24pack retail boxes. All the “special” boxes are never at my local card shop, targets, or walmarts. I am assuming they are out of production or sold out where I am (Please bear with me I am new to collecting in general). I don’t know why a lot of people are complaining about base cards. I have already got three Doncic, two Young, and one Ayton (BASE). I have received majority of base rookies, and a lot of the rookie inserts (which are really cool in my opinion). Some of the rookie inserts I been pulling vary from silver to green! I got curry, lebron, KD, Giannis, Harden frequently as base. Some of the more rare parallels I got have been players no one really is excited for like a Tristan Thompson, Isiah Thomas, etc. Silvers on the other hand I been really happy with. I got Mitchell, Giannis, Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram, Kyrie, etc. I got a bunch of the rookies that were silver too. Of course I haven’t got a Doncic, Young, or Ayton yet. Although I am still very happy with my SILVER Sexton, Bamba, Jackson, Knox, Carter, and Gilgeous-Alexander.

I agree on the autos and relics being not that good. I got a Kenny Smith silver auto yesterday, which is probably the best auto I have got from all that I have purchased so far. And for relics I pulled a Larry Bird at best. I don’t understand why there is so many retired/hall of fame autos/relics that I have been receiving. It is really a bummer. This may be a controversial thing to say as well, but I almost feel like there shouldn’t be players who are retired/hall of famers in this product. At least not as often as they appear, maybe include the greats from the past, but make them rare. For the few cards I get in a pack I do not want base Stockton, Worthy, Malone, and Kidd. Which I get frequently. I would much rather get a player who is currently in the NBA. There is a reason why I am buying 2018-2019, and not vintage. I want current players and rookies.

I do think that this product could be cheaper and especially for the blasters. $20+ a box for only 6 packs (24cards). If it was $15 a blaster box would be a great buy.

This is random (maybe this is just my luck), but I pull Milos Teodosic ALL THE TIME, I have so many of his base, silver, etc. I almost think it is a joke how often I get him. WORST CARD BY FAR! He is not even a RC, but is labeled RC.

Final thoughts would be that I recommend this product. However, if you are looking for good autos, and relics this is not the right product for you. If you are fan of this rookie class and don’t mind paying a little more for some limited parallels then I say go for it! I enjoy this rookie class and it is exciting to hunt for Doncic, Young, Ayton cards!!

Bought my first pack of hobby Prizm at a card shop in late November, pulled a Silver Doncic. Didn’t even know what it was at the time since I’ve never bought Prizm, was just happy to pull a Doncic Rc. Soon after realized that it was selling for about $300, and proceeded to by around 100 Retail packs over the next month and did not even pull a base Doncic in any of them.

Bought a full hobby box last week, pulled a damaged 1/1 Chris Paul Go Hard or Go Home card, and a Mojo Anfernee Hardaway auto. Again, zero Doncic base rc. All other parallels were all jabronis, but can’t complain about a 1/1 and Mojo Auto.

I’m torn on this stuff, I tend to agree that its vastly over-produced. I feel like I see more Luka autos and parallels than I do of the base cards floating around on ebay. Debating getting some of the Fast Break version because at least the parallels are numbered.

Fun to open sealed boxes, but when I see that a pack is see through (Target) I’m always reluctant to buy them. I went to 3-4 local targets and each one of them had resealed/glued together packs in their gravity boxes! BEWARE! I pointed this out to a manager and she didn’t really seem to care. Anyway, got a Lucca Base and a red Refractor in a mega box! I’m quitting there!

The one relic one auto is misleading. It should state that your guaranteed a relic in the blasters only. I invested heavily and averaged 1 auto per 7 or 8 blasters. Having to spend $140-$160 plus tax for an auto of a player in the G league is terrible. Unfortunately where is anyone going to turn?

I opened a hobby box and 1 box of unopened rack packs with 3 parallels in each pack. I would have been better off burning the money I spent on the rack packs – best parallel was Marvin Bagley. Not one /25 insert cards in racks only.
I did get a Doncic rookie auto in the hobby box but the rest was crap. Not one of my prizm cards was of a player that started and the other auto was Jose Calderon. Why the hell is Jose Calderon signing a card?

Distribution of star and rookie cards has been terrible this year. Out of four boxes and about 10 hanger packs, the ratio of retired players and players no longer in the league far outweighs the number of stars per pack/box. I realize that the retired players represent HOF, but I would much rather pull Steph, Labron, Harden, Giannis, AD, KD than I would John Stockton…no offense to Stockton, but come on. BTW…out of the boxes and packs mentioned above, I received exactly zero of the current star players I listed above. Nor did i receive any rookie better than Justin Jackson. What a shame…I was really looking forward to these Prizm Basketball cards this year. I could have opened the same number of Prizm Football packs and pulled as many basketball stars and rookies as I did out of the basketball packs. Booo.

Poor coalation. Like many other reviewers, bought a bunch of packs and no Doncic base rookie (also no Ayton for me). The problem with this is, unless you get one of these two guys or both, the rest of the class just doesn’t have much potential. I don’t like the parallels for this product, it seems more plentiful than most years, and as always, it’s expensive. Combine the rookie class being as it is, and the result isn’t a formula for success. Also, the red white and blues are a waste i.e. just do the rookies for it.

Prizm Basketball is the Gold Standard for collecting. This is the only product where a non-auto can sell for more than an auto. Have to love Prizm. Hobby Prices are still above SRP of 120, but nothing like last year craze.

This year there are more retail products with the addition of Mega boxes from both Target and Walmart. Silver Prizms are part of the chase in retail. Big Rookie Ayton started at $150 and is now at $60 per silver. ROY of the Doncic Silver and Autos are holding strong at $200 plus even with floods of retail chasers. Choice looks beautiful but too limited here in the USA.

This could be the year the silver bubble pops. Hobby prices with double in 12 months. Solid rookie class.

Always excited for prizm. This year not so good on pulls. I bought 10 blaster boxes, 20 rack packs which 1 was a sealed box, 1 target mega and 1 Walmart mega. Out of all this product I did not pull 1 luka doncic and marvin bagley base rookie. How is this possible? I have 5 base rookies of dead beat players. No autos, 9 retread veteran bench player jersey cards with 1 lebron jersey card. My best silver was 1 Jaren Jackson jr. I pulled 1 numbered green pulsar prizm of Frank ntlinka out of 25. That’s it. Terrible coalition and way overproduced this year. Panini took a good thing and has ruined it again. Avoid buying packs and just buy what you want on Ebay. You will save money and up with better cards in the end. Also, is there a Asian version of this product? I have seen blue, green, yellow scope prizm for sale on Ebay from S. Korea, China and taiwan. They are calling it prizm choice.

Bought a Hobby box and spent more than I wanted but once I got home and opened the packs was when I was REALLY sad. A pitiful auto, had 2 useless red prizms, I could try to sell ALL the green prizms and would maybe get $5.00. Panini find a way to at least put ONE GOOD HIT per box. I have bought a number of these packs from Target as well and this is nothing but a big loss for me, I’m not putting another penny into this product. SAD!!!

I like how the rookie card design looks this year, but disappointed in not getting a single auto as advertised. At least I didnt get any coaches parallel like last year. So feel it was a little improvement this year.

My hobby experience has been sub par. Like many – I’ve had bad luck paying the expensive hobby prices to be guaranteed autos that turn out to be garbage players.

Retail experience has been slightly better – I’ve gotten a few Blasters and a few Target Mega Boxes. The Target mega boxes cost $50 and come with 4 Silver Prizms and 14 Red Ice Prizms. Walmart Mega Boxes cost $35 and come with 3 Silvers and 10 Pink Ice.

I have pulled 0 retail autos, but did manage to score a Doncic Red Ice. My best Silver Prizm has been a Bamba.

I don’t know why the Refractor likes Silver Prizm can have a high price in second market,just because the cost is high and the hits is weak？People want to get their money back by this way？

Saw that retail Mega Boxes available from Target online this morning. $50 per box for 60 cards (6 packs/10 cards per). Anyone have more info about these boxes or a breakdown of its contents with respect to hits and prizms?

agree with many that they should reduce the number of cards per box and reduce the SRP

Pulled a monster Doncic and Sexton autograph. Experiences may vary but mine was great.

Over priced, over produced, and it comes from Panini.

Hobby is way over priced. Finally glad to see people are making a stand and refuse to pay the bloated prices that the lcs are marking up. Anhyways, is there any info on when retail will be hitting the stores? Be smart and dont pay the bloated prices and just wait for black friday sales and you can huy twice as much for the same price. Have fun ripping…

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. No way am I buying a $250 box to pull an ultra rare coaches card. Prepare to lose money on these boxes…Lots of money.

This entire season and last season for Panini basketball saw autographs very hard to pull or 1 per box on $100 boxes. Fans are getting tired of bench player autos and 2nd year players instead of rookies. Too many garbage autos. And sticker auto also.

Gee! More sticker autographs and poorly centered cards in another ripoff product from Panini, your quality control experts! Have fun, suckers.

Double the production with half the talent of the 2017 class spells bloodbath for anyone buying hobby boxes.

Please tell me coaches are not in this years set. There is nothing worse than pulling a numbered parallel of a coach.
