2013-14 Fleer Showcase Hockey Hot List
2013-14 Fleer Showcase Hockey features a lot of retro Fleer designs. It's just not Fleer Retro. That hasn't stopped the product from capturing some decent collector interest in key areas.
As one might expect, the one-per-box Rookie Patch Autographs are among the strongest cards in the product. Besides regular versions of the rookie cards that are numbered to 375 or 175, the Red Glow and White Hot parallels are living up to their name. With Nathan MacKinnon off to a fast post-season start, the timing is also right for new high-end rookies.
Taking a page from 2012-13 Fleer Retro Hockey, player collectors have plenty of inserts that look to the past. These are all about flash, rarity and wild designs instead of autographs and memorabilia. Precious Metal Gems and Jambalaya, two of the most prominent of these.
Hockey PMGs might not be as popular as they are in basketball, but some of the key players on the checklist are garnering very solid amounts when you consider they're not signed. As far as Jambalaya inserts go, early sales of key players on eBay hit $75 and up.
Below is a real-time list of the most-watched cards currently up for auction on eBay. It updates automatically, so you may want to check back to track cards and see new things that are listed.
