Mike M
Nick Adenhart. Eerie story. He attended Williamsport (MD) high school. Died in a car crash in 2009. Three years after that, a player he went up in the minors with, became the baseball coach for Williamsport (MD) High School. His star pitcher and his girl friend also died in a car crash under similar circumstances as Adenhart. Drunk driver ran a red light in an SUV
My twin brother and I attended Williamsport (PA) High School. We both played for the high school team. My twin brother was killed in a car crash (I was there in the same car with my older brother and older cousin, who was driving) back in 1999 as freshmen, a few months before turning 15, 10 years before Adenhart’s crash. Drunk driver coming up the exit ramp of a highway on our way down to Philadelphia after a baseball tournament to visit family.
3 years later, in 2002, 10 years before the Williamsport (MD) high school pitcher’s death, a classmate of mine, who was the ace of my high school’s baseball team at Williamsport (PA) High School (I quit playing after my brother died as a high school freshman,) was killed in a car crash by a drunk driver in an SUV who blew through a red light.
