1975-76 O-Pee-Chee WHA Hockey marks the company's second set of the rival league. The first year seemed to be a success, as the WHA set was expanded to 132 cards and given a more elaborate design.
1975-76 O-Pee-Chee WHA Hockey fronts feature a player photo framed by two solid lines. The outer line extends below the picture and forms the border of an oval-shaped icon that contains the player's name, position and team, all of which are in differently-colored sections. A white border surrounds the entire card. The backs are a little simpler. A strip along the top contains a card number inside a white box and the player's name. His vital stats appear in the box underneath that, followed by his previous year and lifetime statistics and then a biography written in both English and French. A copyright line along the bottom identifies OPC and states that the card is a product of Canada.
All-Star players run between card 61 and 72. They are given stars in each upper corner and a banner along the top to commemorate the honor. There is also a checklist card in the set.
Notable rookies in 1975-76 O-Pee-Chee WHA Hockey include Richard Brodeur, Nick Fotiu, Robbie Ftorek, John Garrett, Mark Howe and Mike Rogers.
