1964 Topps Giants Baseball Set Details
The 60-card 1964 Topps Giants Baseball checklist is highlighted by all-time hobby favorites like Mickey Mantle, Sandy Koufax, Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente and Hank Aaron. Building a set remains a reasonable task with such a small number of cards, especially when factoring in the prices. Even though a handful of short prints make sets a bit more of a challenge, supply is plentiful enough that they're not out of reach.
1964 Topps Giants Baseball cards measure 3 1/8" by 5 1/4". Card fronts have a simple design. The larger format makes for big, posed player photos. Beyond that, fronts have very few design elements. Pictures have a small white border. A baseball icon at the bottom has the player's name position and team.
Card backs resemble a newspaper clipping. They have a headline, another photo, and a write-up of a career accomplishment.

Fantastic set. However, as some uncut sheets have appeared, it seems as though the short prints are not short prints at all. The Mantle was triple printed as well.
