1940-41 O-Pee-Chee V301-2 Hockey is a continuation of a premium set from the previous year. These are also premiums, which resemble 5-by-7 inch glossy photos rather than slabs of cardboard. They are also considered to be an O-Pee-Chee issue, despite the fact that no proof exists about who made them.
Fronts feature a sepia-toned player picture with a light aura around the player. Under the picture, a typed font identifies the player, team and position, and a card number appears in the lower right corner. The backs are completely blank.
There are 50 premiums in the 1940-41 O-Pee-Chee V301-2 Hockey set. Numbering begins at 101, where V301-1 left off. They were sold one at a time in cello packs and were issued in two series of 25 cards. Both are relatively scarcer than the previous year's pictures, but the second V301-2 series is slightly scarcer than the first.
Many of the game's biggest stars appear in the set, including Turk Broda, who appears in both of the set's series, as well as Milt Schmidt, Max Bentley and Syl Apps.
