With a third series of cards, O-Pee-Chee went a different route. They changed the design and shrank the size of their cards. That said, 1935-36 O-Pee-Chee V304C Hockey still continued the numbering scheme and featured different players who had yet to appear in the earlier series.
1935-36 O-Pee-Chee V304C Hockey card fronts feature a black-and-white player photo superimposed in front of a generic hockey design. Cartoon images of other players flank both sides. The backgrounds are found in one of four different colors: green, orange, maroon or yellow. A box below the player identifies him with his last name, with a first initial for some players. Backs feature a title of National League Hockey Stars followed by the player's name. A biography written in both English and French follows. A line at the bottom identifies the card as a part of Series C.
This is considered to be a 1935-36 issue. There are 24 cards in all, which continue the numbering convention of OPC's earlier series. As a result, the cards are numbered 73 through 96. Since 1935-36 O-Pee-Chee V304C Hockey features players not used in the earlier series, there are few stars. Wilfred Cude and Lynn Patrick are the key players.
